Presents from the Sky is a whimsical interpretation of a fabled story from the life of Paul Klee. On Klee’s 50th birthday, his friends Anni Albers and numerous Bauhaus instructors hired an airplane,
equipped presents with a parachute and dropped them from the sky for the waiting Klee. A grand artistic
prank to show how much the artist was revered.
The song is written, performed and produced by Johnny and Reg from The Upper Strata – a folktronica duo from Basel, Switzerland. Johnny created the artwork paying homage to Paul Klee and Regula brought her inner-child out to the animation-table to create this whimsical video for their song.
Presents from the Sky is the third track on the album Luap Elk.
