COVID-19 surge forces Chile to reimpose restrictions

A surge in COVID-19 infections in southern Chile has surpassed the second wave in European countries.
The contagion rate in the Magallanes Region, for example, is 47 per 100,000 inhabitants, compared to 22 in the UK, 30 in Italy and 13 in Spain.
Chilean authorities have decided to reimpose restrictions in the capital as infections there soar.
