One argument for the existence of aliens is the volume of people who claim to have encountered them. Alien abduction stories persist in our culture, with some accounts corroborating each other and some being so strange it’s hard not to believe them. These are the most convincing alien abduction stories that are well known as well as over a hundred personal alien abduction stories that the media has not covered.
These are the top twelve most famous alien abduction stories.
1. Allagash Alien Abductions
In 1976 four friends in their early 20s went camping in rural Maine. On the second night, they noticed a very bright light but nothing more. On the third night, they decided to try night fishing. In the canoe, they noticed the bright light again. One of the men used a flashlight to flash light in an SOS pattern at the light.
The light then expanded and enveloped all four men.
That’s the last thing they remember. They “woke up” back at their campsite with no recollection of what ended up happening with the light or how they got off the water. The fire they’d stoked up before they left just minutes ago (intending it to still be burning when they returned) was completely burned down to embers.
Jack Weiner was the first to start having nightmares. In these dreams, he saw beings with long necks and large heads. He saw the beings examining his arm while Jim, Chuck, and Charlie sat on a nearby bench, not able to intervene.
The beings had large metallic glowing eyes with no lids, and their hands were insect-like, with four fingers. The other three men were experiencing very similar dreams, with short, mental clips of that night on the lake. In 1988, out of curiosity, Jim Weiner attended a UFO conference hosted by Raymond Fowler.
Weiner met Fowler afterwards and related his strange encounter. The investigator was excited about Jim’s story, especially the fact that it was a multiple witness occurrence. Fowler suggested to Jim that he and the others undergo regressive hypnosis. After the sessions it was revealed that all four of the men had memories of being abducted and subjected to humiliating physical examinations, including the taking of skin and fluid samples.
The description of the aliens was consistent. The four men – being artists – were able to make detailed sketches of the entities, the craft, and the examining instruments. Chuck Rak added that the aliens’ test area was similar to a vet’s office, with a silvery table. He also related a strange fact: he had much difficulty in focusing on the aliens. When he tried, he could not put an exact image to them. He compared it to trying to tune in a fuzzy radio station.
After the psychiatric examinations, all four of the men were deemed to be mentally stable, and they all passed lie-detector tests.
Pascagoula Alien Abduction
In 1973 two coworkers were fishing off a pier on the Pascagoula River when they heard a buzzing sound and saw flashing blue lights. A UFO appeared and three humanoid creatures dragged them on board. Inside the craft they were examined for about 20 minutes before being “levitated” back to the pier.
Afterwards they went to the police station to report what happened. While they detectives left the two alone in the room, their conversation was unknowingly recorded:
CHARLIE: I’ve never seen nothin’ like that before in my life. You can’t make people believe-
CALVIN: I don’t want to keep sittin’ here. I want to see a doctor-
CHARLIE: They better wake up and start believin’… they better start believin’.
CALVIN: You see how that damn door come right up?
CHARLIE: I don’t know how it opened, son. I don’t know.
CALVIN: It just laid up and just like that those son’ bitches-just like that they come out.
CHARLIE: I know. You can’t believe it. You can’t make people believe it-
CALVIN: I paralyzed right then. I couldn’t move-
CHARLIE: They won’t believe it. They gonna believe it one of these days. Might be too late. I knew all along they was people from other worlds up there. I knew all along. I never thought it would happen to me.
Betty and Barney Hill Alien Abduction
In 1961 a married couple (both “normal” by all accounts and leaders in their community) were driving home from a vacation at Niagara Falls when they saw what they thought was a falling star, but it moved around in the sky and began to grow bigger. They decided to drive slowly along the road and follow the light as it grew closer to them in the sky, eventually stopping in the middle of the highway as the object hovered only 80-100 feet from them.
At this point Barney Hill commits a horror movie no-no and gets out of the car to get a closer look. After seeing a craft with 8-11 “humanoid” creatures in black uniforms on it. He screamed “They’re going to capture us!” and ran back to the car and the couple drove home.
A trip that should have taken three hours mysteriously took seven. The Hills could not account for the missing time. Additionally, a lot of other strange things happened, leading them to conclude they had been abducted:
Arriving home at about dawn, the Hills assert that they had some odd sensations and impulses they could not readily explain: Betty insisted their luggage be kept near the back door rather than in the main part of the house. Their watches would never run again. Barney noted that the leather strap for the binoculars was torn, though he could not recall it tearing. The toes of his best dress shoes were inexplicably scraped. Barney says he was compelled to examine his genitals in the bathroom, though he found nothing unusual. They took long showers to remove possible contamination and each drew a picture of what they had observed. Their drawings were strikingly similar.
Perplexed, the Hills say they tried to reconstruct the chronology of events as they witnessed the UFO and drove home. But immediately after they heard the buzzing sounds, their memories became incomplete and fragmented. They vaguely recalled a luminous moon shape sitting on the road. Barney recalled saying “Oh no, not again”. Betty thought Barney had taken a sharp left turn off Route 3.
After sleeping for a few hours, Betty awoke and placed the shoes and clothing she had worn during the drive into her closet, observing that the dress was torn at the hem, zipper and lining. Later, when she retrieved the items from her closet, she noted a pinkish powder on her dress. She hung the dress on her clothesline and the pink powder blew away. But the dress was irreparably damaged. She threw it away, but then changed her mind, retrieving the dress and hanging it in her closet. Over the years, five laboratories have conducted chemical and forensic analyses on the dress.
There were shiny, concentric circles on their car’s trunk that had not been there the previous day. Betty and Barney experimented with a compass, noting that when they moved it close to the spots, the needle would whirl rapidly. But when they moved it a few inches away from the shiny spots, it would drop down.
As time passed, Betty and Barney remembered more and more details of their abduction. Here is a map of a solar system constructed from hypnotherapy sessions:
Jesse Long Alien Abduction
This man claims to have been abducted many times, beginning when he was 5 years old:
Antônio Vilas Boas Alien Abduction
Antônio Vilas Boas was a Brazilian farmer who was working at night because it was too hot to work during the day when he saw a red star in the sky. As the light grew larger (closer) he tried to drive away in his tractor, but it died. He then tried running away when he was accosted by four humanoid creatures that dragged him into the now landed craft.
They stripped him, covered him with a weird gel, and then took blood samples. This is where things get weird(er). A female humanoid creature appeared…and they had sex. Some hand motions followed that Boas took to mean he had impregnated the creature and that she was going to leave, have the child, and raise it wherever she was from. Then, they gave him a tour of their spaceship before dropping him off.
He went on to become a lawyer and have a family, if that means anything to you as to whether he was crazy.
Clayton & Donna Lee Abduction
A Texas-based husband and wife claim to have been abducted by aliens multiple times, including once where a fetus was stolen from Donna by the alien trespassers. Clayton claims that he was a child visiting a park the very first time he was abducted, and that he feels the aliens might be studying him throughout his life.
“I remember just floating up higher,” Donna Lee recounted about her experience, “And, all that was around were stars and blackness. And then, I blacked out.”
The couple have had their memories of this event awakened by a local psychologist, who ironically, doesn’t actually believe in aliens herself.
They have both drawn sketches of the aliens, and appeared on multiple media outlets to talk about their story, including this one on the O’Reilly Factor:
O’REILLY: All right. And you were abducted multiple amounts of times?
D. LEE: Yes, yes.
O’REILLY: Did you ever talk to the abductees? I mean, did they tell you where they were from or anything?
D. LEE: No, that I don’t have any remembering of at all, having the conversation, no.
O’REILLY: So they just swept you away somewhere? Where’d they put you?
D. LEE: Different places, different times. I’ve had memories of being on what I consider the ship, because I know it was someplace other than any place I’d ever visited before.
O’REILLY: So you were in some kind of — you were in some kind of vehicle?
D. LEE: Yes. It was a vehicle, a room. It was very cold, metal. A lot of metal. A lot of metal.
O’REILLY: Did you see — did you see the aliens?
D. LEE: Yes.
O’REILLY: What do they look like?
D. LEE: What I saw on that particular visit, they were tall, slender, blond. Looked human, but not human, not quite human.
O’REILLY: All right.
D. LEE: They didn’t really use their voices to talk.
The couple say they remain worried about being abducted against almost daily, but that they want to “live their lives” regardless.
The Gundiah Mackay Alien Abduction
In a chilling story that three different people were involved in, a 22-year-old named Amy was abducted right out the window of her lounge room by some sort of flying craft.
Amy’s husband Keith had already gone to bed, while her friend Petra stayed up to read in another room. Petra was abruptly disrupted by a blinding light coming from the lounge room, and the sound of shattering glass.
The rectangular beam of light was shining into the room, and according to Petra, she saw Amy being pulled out of the window by the light, still apparently asleep.
Keith then woke up, and both he and Petra searched the house and surrounding area for Amy, who was nowhere to be seen. Keith eventually called the police.
Amy eventually turned up miles away, with strange marks on her inner thigh, and bizarrely extensive body hair growth.
Russian millionaire politician taken by Aliens?
Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, the former President of the only Buddhist political state, avidly claims that he was once kidnapped by creatures not of this world.
He says they abducted him off his apartment balcony, and took him to their spaceship:
Yeah! yeah, yeah, yeah I was taken from my apartment in Moscow to this spaceship! And we went to some star. After that I asked “Please bring me back” because the next day I should be back in Kalmykia! They said oh no problem Kirsan, you have time.
When pressed for details of the aliens themselves, Ilyumzhinov says:
They are people like us. They have the same mind, the same vision. I talked with them. I understand that we are not alone in the whole world. We are not unique.
The ship was absolutely enormous. One of its chambers was the size of a large football pitch. We landed on one of the planets and picked up some piece of equipment. They told me everything in detail.
Allegedly, while Ilyumzhinov was abducted, his staff came looking for him and was unable to locate him until he inexplicably appeared in his suite hours later.
The Robert Taylor Incident
Robert Taylor was a forestry worker in Livingston, Scotland. He was heading to work in the woods in 1979 when he turned a corner, and saw a UFO parked in a field.
All at once, two small spheres came from the object. They made a sound as their spikes moved over the earth. They came to a stop beside him, grabbing his trousers, and began to drag him back to the UFO. The spiked objects were very similar to the UFO, only smaller. Taylor could smell a strong, sickening odor. He lost consciousness.
When he regained consciousness, the spheres were gone, but his red setter was still there. The dog was panicky, running around and barking. Taylor tried to calm him down, but found that his voice was gone. He was very weak, and when he tried to stand, he couldn’t. He crawled for a time until he was able to stand again.
He finally made it back to his pick-up truck and tried to radio his work headquarters via his two-way, but still could not speak.
Attempting to drive his truck back home, he got stuck in the mud, so he started a long walk of about a mile back to his house. He arrived at 11:45 AM. (Source)
His wife phoned the police once he got home, remarking that he “looked terrible.” The police began an investigation, having no true explanation for the bizarre tracks left at the scene of the UFO. No aircraft — civilian or military — was scheduled to be in the area according to comprehensive flight logs.
Forestry worker goes MIA for five days — where was he??
Travis Walton was one of seven men working in a forestry team in Snowflake, Arizona. When heading home from work one night, the team spied a blindingly bright light. Thinking it was a crashed plane, they drove over to the craft. What they saw, however, did not look like any plane:
Walton jumped out of the truck to get closer to the craft. Suddenly, a bright light shot from the UFO and sent Walton floating into the UFO. The remaining six crew members, panicked, and drove away from the scene to get help.
About 7:30 p.m., one of the crew members called the police. Deputy Sheriff Chuck Ellison answered the telephone; The crew member initially reported only that one of a logging crew was missing. Ellison then met the crew at a shopping center. They related the tale to him — all the men distraught, two of them in tears — and though he was somewhat skeptical of the fantastic account, Ellison would later reflect “that if they were acting, they were awfully good at it.” (Source)
After an initial scan of the area showed no evidence of an “UFO” the police began to suspect the men were using the story to coverup the fact that they simply murdered Walton. However, over the next few days, all six loggers were subjected to intense interrogations and polygraphs, and their story seemed to hold up.
That’s when Walton suddenly reappeared. Thinking he had only been gone for a few hours, Walton retold parts of the story he could.
He said he was interrogated by three creatures with bald heads and huge eyes. He apparently encountered many different creatures on the craft, who performed experiments on him.
Many people were skeptical of the story, but Walton and all the other loggers maintain their stories.
The Manhattan Abduction
Linda Napolitano (originally aliased as Linda Cortile) triggered one of the most well-documented UFO abduction cases when she claimed to have been kidnapped out the window of her Manhattan apartment building by a flying saucer.
Linda describes her time with the aliens:
“I’m standing up on nothing. And they take me out all the way up, way above the building. Ooh, I hope I don’t fall. The UFO opens up almost like a clam and then I’m inside. I see benches similar to regular benches. And they’re bringing me down a hallway.
Doors open like sliding doors. Inside are all these lights and buttons and a big long table. I don’t want to get up on that table. They get me on the table anyway. They start saying things to me and I’m yelling. I can still yell. One of them says something that sounds like {Nobbyegg}. I think they were trying to tell me to be quiet because he put his hand over my mouth.”
Her abduction story has been corroborated by two United Nations bodyguards, who claim to have seen exactly the scene that Linda describes.
“There was an oval-shaped object hovering over the top of the apartment building two or three blocks up from where we sat.
We didn’t know where it came from. It happened too fast. Its lights turned from a bright reddish orange to a whitish blue coming out of the bottom. Green lights rotated round the edge of the saucer. A little girl or woman wearing a white gown sailed out of the window in a fetal position – and then stood in mid-air in this beam of light. I could see three of the ugliest creatures I ever saw. I don’t know what they were. They weren’t human.
Their heads were out of proportion, very large heads with no hair. Those buggers were escorting her into the craft. My partner screamed, ‘We have got to get them.’ We tried to get out of the car but couldn’t. After the woman was escorted in, the oval turned reddish orange again and whisked off.”
Years later in 2001, this photo would taken taken at Linda’s apartment. The aliens might have been visiting to check on her:

Both bodyguards would later go on to suffer severe psychological maladies after seeing what they did that night. Linda still maintains her story to this day.
Real Life “Men in Black”
Okay, not quite an abduction, but a bizarre visitation of another kind.
Robert Richardson was supposedly driving through Toledo, Ohio when he drove into a strange object, which he claimed vanished the minute that he stepped out to inspect it. Remaining next to his tire, however, was a shard of metal that appeared to have been apart of the mysterious object. Richardson took the metal and continued his drive home.
Three days later, two men in jet black suits and black sunglasses knocked on Richardson’s door. They immediately demanded the piece of metal. Richardson told them that he had it sent off to a lab for analysis. They ordered him to get it back, saying that his wife would be in grave peril if he didn’t.
Richardson ordered them to leave, and never saw them again.
Here’s a list of alien abduction stories that haven’t been covered by the media. They are alien stories from people just like you and me who have had extra terrestrial encounters.
1. I was traveling back home with my mom from my aunt’s house on a warm, sunny afternoon. While I was sitting in the passenger seat, an object just appeared in the sky a little to our left. We both saw it immediately. The size of it is what was shocking more than anything. It had the classic saucer shape and was shining brightly because the sun was reflecting off of it. We continue driving down the road a few seconds, just admiring this craft when all of a sudden we saw something I still don’t believe to this day. It just vanishes. Disintegrates. Disappears. Whatever you want to call it. I looked back at my mom and I could tell by her expression she had seen the same thing.
Since this sighting, I have always been interested in UFO’s and the possibility of other life in our universe. This object in the sky was definitely not a helicopter, airplane, or a flock of geese. My mom and I still talk about the sighting we had and can’t come up with a reasonable explanation as to what we saw that day. This is my UFO story and it is not a hoax or fabrication. Everyone always laughs at me when I tell this story, but that’s fine. I know what I saw.
2. I’ve always felt some encounter stories were real, but what made me truly believe was one night standing outside watching the stars. It was late, maybe 2 a.m., and out in the country so it was dark, no street lights, very little to no moon. I was watching what I thought was a satellite moving across the sky from right to left. Didn’t think twice about it as I saw them all the time. Suddenly, the “satellite” stopped and shot off FAST, totally disappeared, at a 45-degree angle from the direction it came. I have never ever seen a satellite change direction ever. It startled me so much I stood there for a bit wondering if I really saw it or not, but I did, 100% certain. It’s unfortunate no one was there with me that night.
3. Maybe 8-10 years ago I was with my Dad and younger brother returning home to my Mums house when we were driving along this road with forest on either side.
My dad noticed it first and said ‘Look at that!’ pointing up through the sun roof and maybe 20m (21 yards) above us or less was this BIG dark grey circle and these bright white circular ‘lights’ all the same size and all equally spaced apart.
It wasn’t moving or it wasn’t moving fast and wasn’t making any noise as far as I could tell although we were in a Landover, I could see all along the bottom and sides was like square pipes running all along it and although I’m not certain I seem to think and recall there being symbols or hieroglyphs as well.
As we passed it the top of it looked like a bowl and was a lighter grey and it remained there fixed and in place for a good 8-10 minutes until we drove out of site.
4. Back in spring of 1997 a group of us neighborhood kids were looking up at the night sky observing the Hale Bopp comet. I grew up hours from any major city so the view was pretty clear. After awhile we started to notice a red and a white dot circling around each other making sudden movements in every direction. Like no aircraft I have ever seen or have ever seen since. At a certain point they merged into one craft then shot out three smaller crafts. Although we couldn’t tell whether it was a craft because they just appeared to be balls of light. This went on for a couple hours. Right before the lights disappeared they accelerated at lightening fast speed into the darkness. We all went home terrified of what we saw.
The next day on the front page of our small hometown paper it said it received several calls, the explanation they gave was that the local airport was testing aircraft. I’m sure how much I believe that story because of what I saw. To this day whenever I see my friends that were there that night we’ll sometimes talk about it. None of us can be sure what were saw but to this day none of us have ever seen anything like it.
5. 1997 Colorado Springs, CO. I was 8 years old, playing in the sand volleyball court at the park down the street from my house. I was engrossed in my activity – burying my collection of Happy Meal toys in the sand, and then digging them back out, repeat. I was looking down, but decided suddenly that I needed to look up because the world around me had lost all sound.
There was no longer any ambient noise. No traffic noise from the busy streets just a block over. No more dogs barking. No more birds chirping.
I looked at the street that bordered the park, and that is when I saw it.
It looked like a stealth bomber turned sideways (nose leading, one wing down toward the road and the other pointed up at the sky). Completely shiny-black in color, as tall as a house, shaped like an arrowhead. It was cruising the street at 3 MPH. Just gliding over the road….I watched it for maybe 20 seconds. As soon as it had passed behind some 2-story houses and out of my sight – I got my hearing back full force.
I ran home with my piss soaked pants and never spoke a word of it to anybody.
6. 2010, Los Angeles, CA. I was cleaning up around my apartment when I noticed my kitchen lamp swinging and my building rocking. Obviously, earthquake. It lasted for a bit and I called my friend to make sure she was ok. As we were chatting, I was standing out on my balcony, which overlooks Runyon Canyon, a popular hiking trail. I suddenly noticed this object hovering high in between the mountains.
It was way too high to be a helicopter, and too small and low to be a plane. What made it SUPER strange, was it’s shape and lack of movement. It was orb-esque, and stood stagnant for about a solid 3 minutes before moving at a SNAIL’S PACE to the west. I’m talking slower than any aircraft, blimp, kite, whatever, that I’ve ever seen. It also seemed to reflect off the sun, but only at some angles.
I grabbed my crappy digital camera and tried to capture it as best I could. After moving towards the left and then once again staying completely still, it immediately darted at what seemed like an impossible speed in the opposite direction upwards and disappeared.
Plain old man made, government, or other, it was one of the weirdest / best sightings I’ve ever experienced, especially since it was in broad daylight!
When I looked through the pictures, I thought I got nothing, but after zooming in I noticed the object showed up in three! I don’t have photoshop or anything, so it’s not the clearest quality, but hey! Still neat!
7. I was driving back home to Los Angeles with a friend of mine after visiting family near Phoenix, AZ. We were headed west on highway 58 just out of Boron, CA en route to Mojave to catch the 14. It was night and we were jamming out to some music. The next thing I know I’m waking up, looking around and realizing that I was pulled over on the side of the road and that approximately 3 hours had passed. My buddy was fast asleep so I woke him up and we both kind of had a psychological meltdown. After we calmed down a little we went home and never really spoke of it since. I have absolutely no idea when or how we transitioned from listening loud music and driving down the road to waking up safe on the side of the road.
8. When I was 12 or so, I felt something hard and round in my earlobe. I told everyone and they said it was just an under-the-skin zit, pretty normal for someone my age. But it was there for SIX MONTHS.
Annoyed, I decided to do some self-surgery. I could feel it very near the surface and poked a hole in my ear with a sterilized needle. Blood, fucking everywhere, I could feel this thing and I squeezed up, towards the hole I just pierced. Out pops this tiny metal… ball. Maybe half the size of a BB. It was black metal, completely spherical, with an indentation around the center, and teeny tiny golf ball-like indentations.
As I was rolling it around in my blood-covered fingers, it slipped, spun around the sink a couple of times and fell down the drain. At 12, I had no idea what the fuck to do with it and my parents didn’t believe a word I said and told me to just put some tea tree oil on my zits next time… I have never had anything like it since.
9. I was 16, in the mountains in Springville, Utah.
We were in our tent, and you couldn’t see any stars through the thick canvas. There were four of us in the tent. About 1 hour of being in the tent, a light appeared that we could see through the canvas.
We got out and looked at the weird looking light that was in the sky. About 30 minutes later it slowly starting moving down, and its light was lighting up the mountain valley.
We were freaked out, starting swearing at it, shaking out bb guns at it. It eventually stopped again for another 30 minutes or so.
At that point, it split into 2 light objects. One light got a blue flame and shot off into the sky in one direction. The other object did the same.
No idea wtf it was. But we saw the same lights in the mountains for several days from our houses in the valley.
10. One night I go down to the kitchen to drink water (at about 4am) and I hear this weird – kind of low pitched buzzing sound coming from outside. I go out to the backyard and shit you not, I see this fucking bright rounded object (UFO) hovering about 600 feet right above me. I just froze there. I almost felt like I was paralyzed for a moment. I watched it ascend higher into the air and take off at an incredible speed and disappear into the wintery clouds. That night I had a dream that I was abducted. Now when I think about it, I wonder if the dream was real but was purposely made to seem like a dream? I obviously don’t know for sure but fucking scary shit man!
11. I was an air traffic controller (tower) in the Air Force and one morning, I think it was 1972, and I was the crew chief on duty on a midnight shift along with one other controller. It was daybreak and almost time for shift change, when I look up and there’s a metallic object crossing over the field (Randolph AFB, Tx.) and moving fast. I couldn’t make out what it was, but I knew for sure it wasn’t an aircraft. I called down to radar and asked if they had anything on their scope, and they replied “no.” The other person who was working with me was sleeping on the floor since it was slow (no traffic at all). All these years later I still wonder what it was, but it raised the hair on the back of my neck when I was watching it.
12. Not me but back in the late seventies, my mother’s sister was married to someone who claimed, not only to have seen a UFO but that he was taken aboard and probed, etc. He was a highway patrolman and he said that this all happened in the middle of the night when he was on patrol. He was in his patrol car, remembers seeing the lights and then he lost 2-3 hours. He was put under hypnosis and then “remembered” the rest. He is actually mentioned in some of the literature and has a video on Youtube. His name is Herbert Shirmmer.
They are no longer married.
13. My Grandfather, back in 1965, used to stare at the night sky, looking for aliens, he always said it’s just the dots that move weird, i could never see them, be he knew what he was looking for. Whenever he saw one he would jump in his Bel-Air and chase that fucker down, blazing down the country roads. He said he would always get close, but then his whole car would just stop, just the whole thing turn off, and wouldn’t turn back on for a few minutes (and before you think it was just car problems, my whole family history is nothing but mechanics), still he said it was like nothing he’d ever seen before.
14. I was out on my balcony at about 11-1 at night having a cigarette; I don’t remember the exact time. It was April of 2012. I live in Las Vegas but my balcony faces away from the lights and strip. I was stargazing for a bit when I noticed something odd, something was moving. A star I had been looking at suddenly disappeared, as if something moved in front of it. It was a boomerang shaped object, about as big as a private plane, moving silently and smoothly. No noise at all, no lights, it wasn’t pitch black either. Almost a really dark purple/blue, the color the night sky is. Seemed like it was trying to blend in. It was also very low, maybe only 100-150 feet up. Like if you were riding on top and I yelled something to you, you could hear me. That close. I watched as it silently glided out if my view. I looked online a few days later and apparently only one other person saw it. Must have been stealthy flying that low in this big of a city and only 2 people saw it.
15. When I was a kid I lived right on the edge of this state forest. My friends and I would go adventuring out there all the time and as we got a bit older – middle school age- we started camping and just going for hikes to unwind. One night I went out for a walk by myself on a trail I knew with my eyes closed. I had left my house at maybe 8pm. I sat down in a small clearing after about 20 minutes of walking and stared up at the stars at what I thought was an airplane until I realized it wasn’t moving but slightly pulsing. I could feel the pulses in my chest like they were synced up with my heartbeat. I just kind of shook it off after maybe 15 minutes as a weird coincidence and hopped up to meander my way home. When I got home all the lights were off which I found kind of weird until I went to plug my phone in. It was 2 am.
16. While I was out on a Boy Scout camp out (order of the arrow for you guys out there), I slept outside of a tent for the first night (as is part of the camp out). At about 2:30 in the morning, I still couldn’t fall asleep and I just opened my eyes. I saw these three lights open up in the sky, like a perfect equilateral triangle. They just seemed to shoot down and illuminate the entire forest. At this point, everything goes quiet. Like the birds, bugs, deer and coyotes just all shut up. They moved so slow across the sky and I remember following them down to the pond edge. I took a couple steps into the water, and then they just kept going, before disappearing. I couldn’t believe it, and I told some people in the morning and no one believed me. Funny thing is, none of the adult leaders (we weren’t allowed to use cell phones) had phone reception in the morning, but that was fine after a few hours.
17. I was 12 watching High School High with my brother and my friend. My parents had gone out and left us with my uncle who was asleep upstairs. We paused the movie and gave my friend some money to go to the corner store about 2 minutes away because they had glass-bottled cokes. About 20 minutes later and he hadn’t shown up. I wondered what took him so long so I stepped outside to see if he was coming. As soon as I did, probably about 50 or more feet directly above me, I saw the bottom of a spinning UFO. It had about 12 or so spinning lights. I stood there in awe for about 10 seconds until I realized wtf I was watching. At that point I called my little brother out to see it. He came running out and asked me what it was. I said I didn’t know. Then in the snap of a finger it just went about 60 feet (at the same height) to my right over my apartments parking lot. I ran towards it barefoot because I didn’t want to lose sight of it. As soon as I got under it the thing just zoomed straight over these other apartments and into the sky in another snap of a finger. I will never ever forget that speed. It’s what made it real for me. That UFO truly changed the person I was.
18. I live in Southern California. I often drink beer at night on my porch and stargaze. I have, on numerous occasions seen objects that are not satellites, planes, or shooting stars move in bizarre patterns and emit immense light before quickly disappearing in the night.
I know that many people don’t believe in UFO’s or any of that nonsense and I don’t really either but I know what I saw and I know it wasn’t earthly.
19. When I was 5 I saw three “greys” at dawn while camping in the backyard with my cousin. They froze me and I panicked mostly because I couldn’t move. They looked at me for a few seconds and left. When I was 19 I was camping in New Mexico near this school for deaf kids. We heard this screaming so we popped out of the tent to see a large glowing upside down-lampshade-thing in the middle of this field 30ft away. I drifted up into the night and accelerated FAST until it popped like a firework in the sky.
20. I personally witnessed the Phoenix Lights.
Pretty crazy that something as noticeable as that was never explained.
21. Well I know somebody who was involved in this incident. Basically a bunch of school kids all reported seeing a little man step out of a UFO who then transmitted images telepathically to them. This all happened during their break. Any time you mention it to her, she becomes anxious and asks if we could talk about something else. So I don’t really know how authentic it is since she hates talking about it but there you go.
22. I still have no idea what this was.
I was out in the cornfields south of Des Moines trying to get a photo of the Milky Way. This red thing flew from South to North – not a sound at all. It flickered as it moved and was much slower than any meteor I’ve ever seen. I was able to swing my camera around to take this 20-second exposure.
23. I was in Venice in September of this year. I was riding a waterbus at night, and I was looking out over the big lagoon. I noticed a bright orange ball of light moving (and for whatever reason, I can’t remember if it was descending or ascending; however, it was definitely moving vertically). It was moving fairly slow, and I couldn’t tell exactly how far away it was. I watched it for a short while, maybe a few minutes, and I saw that a couple of others on the waterbus noticed it too. Apparently they didn’t think much of it, though, since they stopped looking at it after a couple minutes. I kept watching it, though, and eventually it decelerated and stopped. It hovered in this position for a small while, and then disappeared in an instant. Still don’t know what it was, and can’t think of a reasonable explanation. I don’t think it could have been an airplane: it seemed so bright, and since the boat was also moving, it appeared to be no more than half a mile away. It was completely silent, and it didn’t appear to have any more mass other than what I could see of the very bright orange light. It is the only UFO I have ever seen for which I can’t think of an explanation.
24. When I was a little girl (in the 1960’s) and was tucked into bed at night, I would look up and see these very tall and very thin men, with long necks and no facial features (just big dark eye circles) standing in my doorway. They never said anything, just looked lovingly at me and I was never frightened. Sometimes there would be two or three, sometimes just one. I always spoke to them and then I would fall asleep. As I grew up, I forgot about them. Many years later, I was looking at a book by Whitley Strieber about aliens and what people who claimed to have seen aliens, reported that they looked like. My tall men, looked just like all the pictures in the book.
25. I was on a plane from Bolivia to Peru, everyone was sleeping but I wasn’t, it was about 11:00 pm and the light from the wing of the plane was just at my window and it was cool to look at. Then I noticed there was no wing and I looked forward and the wing was like 10 feet from my seat, the light I was seeing was A WHOLE DIFFERENT LIGHT. I got kind of freaked out and stared at this white very vibrant light and within seconds this light went up until it was out of sight. Next day in papers: “UFO sighting in Peru near Lima” and two days after that, a small earthquake took place, I’m not making any of these up. I SWEAR.
26. 1994 Tucson, AZ, near Davis Monthan AFB. We were swimming in the apartment complexes swimming pool when we saw what we at first thought was a jet liner flying very high in the air. There happened to be a helicopter flying much lower also. The “airplane” was going much faster than a jet would and then did the impossible, it did a 45-degree turn. No arc, nothing. Just like it was doing a corner in a box. It shot off across the sky. I wasn’t the only one, people were shocked, and ran to the front of the apartment complex to watch it.
27. My dad saw a cigar-shaped craft with red portholes floating over a cornfield when he was a teen in the mid-60s. He was taking a rural shortcut and saw it hovering. He stopped his truck to look at it and then it took off with what he describes as near-instant acceleration.
At the time he believed it had to be aliens, since it was unlike anything he’d ever seen on Earth, but as he grew older he became convinced it was an experimental Cold War aircraft. The notable thing is that he didn’t follow UFO reports with any seriousness, so his report of a cigar-shaped craft (which has been consistent throughout his life) is interesting because that same shape of craft was at one time commonly reported.
28. First time I ever tried to write this down, first time telling anyone outside the family. I’m leaving out time and location and some other details because I’m still scared of what might happen with it publicly I guess.
Summer before 8th grade, me and two of my friends snuck out at midnight to go walk around the neighborhood and go see these girls on the next block who were having a sleepover. We turn a corner in our neighborhood and there’s this huge black blimp shaped thing in the sky. Like the pictures of the Hindenburg but bigger than that and as close if not closer. Completely silent and the size of at least four to five football fields across, no exaggeration, even though I was young.
We stare at it entranced, asking each other over and over again if we see it, which we all agree that we do, standing there, frozen in one place. It’s like black polished gunmetal, no lights, no sound, no anything. It’s just hovering there. And then I don’t know what happened but time clearly jumps. Next thing I remember is the craft/ship/government experiment/whatever the hell it is has gone and there’s a tiny glowing white barbell thing in the sky, seemingly slowly falling to earth with wisps of smoke coming off it. Then two brand new black trucks with silver gearboxes on the back, like F150s or S10’s but nicer came speeding down the street, going about seventy in a residential 25mph neighborhood. Then after that I remember walking home to one of my friend’s houses and going to bed.
At that point it was like 5 or 6 am and the sun was coming up. We all made a promise to tell my dad in the morning because he worked for the city but we never did. I don’t know what happened later in life to one of my friends who was there but the other was my best friend and we sort of made an unspoken pact never to talk about it, don’t know how or why we did that. We all grew up and I sort of lost touch with him too. We did reconnect over Facebook and such over the years but it was like there was something between us neither of us wanted to touch or talk about. Looking back on it now, there’s no way we could have been the only ones to see it. It wasn’t that late at night and it was over a heavily populated suburb of a major city. The idea of this has always scared me more than any sort of possible abduction scenario. That there were others and we’re all voluntarily suffering a sort of collective amnesia, except in how we’re not. I’ve thought about hypnosis but that scare me too plus I’m not sure if I’d trust the results, I was just a kid then and I’m not sure if I could trust the hypnotist.
What I do know, again, is that there’s no way it was just the three of us who saw it. We’re talking a huge thing hovering in the sky directly above hundreds of houses just after midnight on a summer weekend night. But nothing on the news, nothing in the paper, nothing on tv, no words spoken about it again ever by anyone.
This is a true story. This happened. And there’s no way I’m the only one who remembers. No way.
29. My mom tells a story of her and her friend. Let’s call her friend Lisa.
When my mom and Lisa were teenagers, they were up on the roof of Lisa’s house, and they see a bright light in the sky. Next thing they know, the light is gone. Thing is, they think they’ve been on the roof for like 15 minutes, but something like 3 hours passed.
Mom doesn’t remember anything about what happened during that time, and Lisa simply refuses to talk about it. She would answer my mom with things like “I dunno” and “Just drop it” for a long time.
So a couple months later, mom moves away and loses contact with Lisa for about 10 years. She finally meets up with her again and immediately notices that something is odd about Lisa.
Lisa appeared very “distant” to her, with a very “dreamy” demeanor. Like she was really happy and at peace, for no good reason. After they talk for a bit, Lisa brings up the incident on the roof. Mom says she still doesn’t really remember anything about it.
But Lisa remembers. She remembers everything. She said that at first, it was all in bits and pieces and she couldn’t remember any of it clearly. She was confused and scared and wanted to avoid discussing it. Then, as time passed, she began to remember more of it.
She remembers it all clearly, and she remembers the other 3 times she was abducted after that clearly as well. At first, they paralyzed her somehow and did all sorts of invasive experiments on her, but by the most recent time, they stopped probing her and began to talk with her. They didn’t speak English or any other human language, but she could understand everything they said, even though she can’t speak their language herself. Apparently they told her all sorts of things – stuff about space, Earth itself, and most shockingly, predicted years beforehand that she would get pregnant in a specific year and it would also be a stillborn, and that she would never be able to have children again. They also told her that it was not their fault and they even made an attempt to save her from this fate, but they were unsuccessful.
They also told her that they had abducted my mother. Another time, after that first incident. Mom says she has no recollection of any other potential abductions, but she does have recurring nightmares of being abducted, but she’s “almost sure” that they’re just that – nightmares.
Anyway, Lisa tells mom that every time she speaks with them, she comes to understand “the truth” more and more. When mom inquires what “the truth” is, Lisa just says that “you will know eventually” and she says that once she learned of “the truth” then “everything became wonderful”.
Mom has seen her a few more times over the years (we still live in another state from her), and she apparently has a pretty normal life, and doesn’t like, obsess over alien stuff (like some supposed alien abductees do), she only ever brings it up in passing, not like it’s a central part of her daily life.
30. I can’t say for sure what happened to me that night, but here is what I know…
I was driving home for the weekend from school at Indiana University. It takes me about two hours to get home, and I left Bloomington around 10:00pm. At exactly 10:53 I am on a rural stretch of the two lane highway I take home, and I notice what appeared to be flashing lights behind me. I thought, “great, I’m getting pulled over,” so I turned onto the next country road about a quarter mile from where I noticed the lights. As the car came to a stop and I started to open my glove box to get out my registration and proof of insurance, the lights suddenly disappeared, and no car drove past.
Now here is where the story takes a turn for the weird, and I am sure you guys will think I’m just making it all up because it really does seem like something straight out of a typical UFO movie or story. The electronics in my car started to go haywire. The radio was randomly changing stations while the volume kept going up and down while the dome light and headlights start to flicker and turn off and back on. This was at 10:56 pm. I start thinking to myself that my battery must be failing, or else I have a short somewhere in the electric system of my car… so I lean down to pop the hood so I can take a look at the battery, and that is the last thing I remember doing. The next thing I know, I open my eyes and see nothing but the night sky full of bright stars – it was a cold night and it seemed like I had never seen stars that bright in my life. I sat up and looked around, and I saw absolutely nothing. Nothing at all. I was in the middle of a field, surrounded by corn stalks left over from the recent harvest. As I started to come to my senses I started to freak out. Where am I? Why the fuck am I asleep in the middle of a field? Where the fuck is my car? I got up and started walking toward the distant headlights I could see from a road about half a mile away.
When I got to the nearest intersection I looked at the signs which read 350N and 50W. I was half a mile away from my car which was just right off the main road. I started walking toward the headlights I could see on the main road. I can’t say how long it took me to walk the half mile but it couldn’t have been more than 10 or 15 minutes. When I arrived at my car all the lights were out – my battery had died, which struck me as odd because I couldn’t have been gone for that long. I looked at my phone which was sitting on the passenger seat, and the time was 2:17 AM. Over three hours had passed since I turned off onto the side road for the flashing lights behind me. I remember sitting in my car completely dumbfounded, wondering what the hell had just happened to me. After about half an hour of just sitting there I remembered that my battery was dead; so I got on the phone and called AAA to come out and give me a jump. It took about an hour for them to get out to me since I was a good distance away from the nearest town; during which time I just sat in silence, running through the possible scenarios in my head concerning what had just happened. To this day I couldn’t tell you what really happened to me that night. All I know is I can’t think of any plausible explanation as to why I woke up over half a mile away from my car in the middle of a corn field more than three hours after I had stopped. I have only shared this story with one other person – my uncle. I am sure people would either look at me like I’m crazy or they would call bullshit on the whole story. And I can’t blame them… if somebody came to me with a story like that, that so closely mirrors the stereotypical encounter story, I probably wouldn’t believe them either.
31. I was on a wildfire just south of Dugway Proving Grounds in Utah. We were in fire rigs driving to the incident area, four trucks in close convoy, when we heard helicopters. Eight black military choppers escorted us in formation for like ten miles, we assumed they were just doing drills and using us for fake target practice or something.
A little while later we are parked and about to start hiking to the fire line when suddenly a thin column of smoke shoots probably about two hundred feet into the sky, it was a good mile away but the concussion was pretty significant when it hit us and the noise was still ridiculously loud. We thought it was probably no big deal, we knew we were near a strike zone.
A good five minutes later an aircraft like nothing I have ever seen flew by us at maybe five hundred feet. It was flat black and sort of rectangular but with fins and wells on the underside. It was moving pretty slow and was dead silent so I have to assume it was some sort of stealth glider. It sounds ridiculous but it immediately reminded me of a huge, flying bat mobile, Time Burton era.
After that some military personnel got on our radio frequency and instructed us to leave the area immediately, when our crew chief asked who it was and why they signed off and the Incident Commander (the guy in charge of managing the entire situation) came on the radios and said we were evacuating the area. They sent us to a completely different fire about a hundred miles to the south and never told us why except that it was higher priority which was bullshit, it was already out when we got there and we just assisted crews in the mop up operation.
The thing that confuses me about this is that if the army didn’t want us to see that shit or if it was dangerous why didn’t they keep us clear of the area in the first place? Either a communications breakdown or they had a now shit situation going down and had to get us out of there without warning.
33. My Dad has over a dozen stories like this. He grew up in rural Illinois, near a woodsy area. UFO activity was apparently high back then – I don’t know if it was just my family or the whole area, but my Dad and my Grandpa would sit on the porch and watch lights fly around their house for fun. This was a loooong time ago, when my dad was a kid (he’s in his 60s now). They would watch the stars dart around like laser lights and laugh about it. Shit’s mind boggling to me now, I’ve only seen that kind of thing happen once or twice and it freaked me out.
Besides that, a bunch of other weird shit would happen to my dad, isolated “earthquakes” (in Illinois) that nobody else felt, bright orbs floating around in the sky and following him around, etc. It’s been awhile since he told me these stories, but one of the particularly weird ones has always stuck with me.
FYI I’m completely aware that it sounds like my Dad was just fucking with me, and trust me, I’d prefer to believe that. But I have good reasons to trust him – for starters, he’s never lied to me about anything else. He wasn’t the type of person to make shit up for show. He also had absolutely nothing to gain from making this shit up, he never tried to publish it or even write it down. He would just talk about it sometimes.
Anyway.
So my dad was in his teens, and weird UFO shit has been happening his whole life at this point. He’s out in his driveway for whatever reason, doing whatever people do when they live in a woodsy rural area. His parents aren’t home, they’re out shopping/at work/whatever.
Suddenly, this big, black car pulls into his driveway. Tinted windows, completely black. My Dad just kind of watches it pull in, not sure what to think.
Something to remember here – not only is this a rural area, but it’s ~50 years ago. People were a lot more trusting back then. Nowadays, you’d be crazy to leave your front door unlocked, but back then it was no big deal.
So this strange black car pulls into my Dad’s driveway. It’s making no noise at all, which my Dad noticed right away. The door opens and out steps a super tall, fair-faced white man. He has blonde hair, an extremely well-tailored black suit, and black sunglasses on. Right away, my Dad could see there was something off about him. He looks too perfect. Flawless skin, a child-like smile, and very overdressed for a hot summer day. He looks distinctly out of place.
The man walks up to my Dad and asks for his name. My Dad (around 15 at the time) asks him why he wants to know. The man smiles and explains that he just wants to ask him a few questions and he means no harm. Bemused, my Dad agrees, but he’s still wary of this strange man.
First, the tall white dude asks my Dad if he lives here. My Dad says yes, and asks why he wants to know. The man has a completely relaxed, non-confrontational tone, and seems almost giddy – like he was really excited to be having this conversation. His childish, overzealous grin hadn’t faded in the least. He asks my Dad if he had seen, felt, or heard anything that he felt was outside of the ordinary. My Dad said sometimes, and again asked why he wanted to know.
The man just kept grinning, and by now my Dad was feeling pretty comfortable. He had never seen this guy before in his life. He didn’t appear to be any kind of government agent – his behavior was far too unusual.
Suddenly, the man’s demeanor completely changes. His grin disappears and he looks worried. Without so much as a goodbye, he opens his car door, gets inside and drives away – still making no noise at all. A couple minutes later, my Dad’s parents come back from shopping.
Now for the really weird part.
My Mom saw the same fucking dude. 30 fucking years later.
She was in a bookstore looking to buy something – dunno the details really – when she turned around and noticed this tall, fair-looking blonde guy in a black suit sitting at table in the cafe, 30 feet or so from my mom. He was reading a newspaper. Sitting across from him was another dude, dressed exactly the same as the blonde one. They still looked strangely out of place, somehow too perfect, too clean. Now, my Mom had heard this story from my Dad before, and she actually recognized my Dad’s description of this man – he definitely stood out. So she’s kind of taken aback, trying to figure out if it’s actually the man my Dad had seen all those years ago.
The blonde guy notices my mom looking at him. Again, his demeanor completely changes. He stands up, turns around, and quickly walks out of the bookstore with the second guy right behind him.
What the fuck right? I’m actually freaking out a bit thinking about this. I’m 22 now and I have to wonder if I’m going to run into this awkward blonde stalker. It’s like the MIB sent their most inept agent to follow around my Dad. Or the most obvious alien ever is trying to study my family in our natural habitat. I don’t fucking know.
34. Ok, here it goes. The first time I had ever seen anything I was 7 in Houston, Texas. I used to like to climb on top of my mom’s suburban in the driveway and stare at the stars. One night I saw an intensely bright floating light over the treeline probably about a half mile away. I hollered but nobody came to see it. I did not see anything else until March of 2008.
This experience happened between the 10th and the 15th, but I can’t give a specific date because I was up for 4 days trying to come up with some explanation to satisfy what I had seen. This was in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. My mother lived in a garden home community, all houses the same size, all one story, and you had great visibility distance wise.
I walked out of my buddy’s place at exactly 4 AM to a bright starry night. When I walked out something caught my eye to the left of me. I looked over and saw a bright blue, yellow, green, white, red, orange strobing flashing light floating silently to the left. I stood in awe at it and did not want to go grab anyone because I didn’t want to miss anything. I watched as it passed in front of the moon behind my friend’s place and I saw the outline of the craft. It was a teardrop, sunflower seed type shape, and the craft seemed to have the lights being transmitted from the top half of it. It was almost as if it was transmitting some type of light pattern upward. It also had a dark, thin, smooth line of exhaust that disappeared 50-75 feet behind it. This all occurred no less than 400 yards away from me. After it passed the moon I ran inside and grabbed someone. He saw it but it was too far away to make out what it was.
I went home which was only a few blocks away and looked out from the driveway the same direction the first craft had come from. I saw two dim white lights slowly coming over the horizon at a slow pace heading towards me. I then ran inside and grabbed my mother out of bed. We stood there for about 20 minutes while 5 separate crafts flew over us, first came two, then two, then one, about 6-7 minutes apart from each other, maybe 20 mph, maybe 200 feet up, completely silent. The way that they looked from underneath was each one had two huge bright white lights which were maybe 30-40 feet across each but they were so bright it was hard to get a good estimate. They also had a pulsating red one between the white lights that dimmed and re-lit. I would estimate from the size of the white lights that each craft was maybe between 150-200 feet wide.
The last craft that flew over us flew over lower and slower than the first four had. Then, it made a noise. It let out a sound that to this day haunts me. What I could best compare it to would be this sound.
followed immediately after by this sound.
That’s the best I could find. Take those two sounds, except make it digital, and multiply it by 50, this…was…loud. The craft did that twice. These craft flew directly over us and I believe that the sound was an acknowledgement. Whatever was piloting it knew we were watching it, kind of like a hello. I immediately started crying, I had no idea what I was looking at or had just heard.
The second big experience I had occurred a couple weeks later. I was standing in my driveway smoking a cigarette listening to my iPod somewhere around 2 AM. I decided to pause my iPod to turn on the back light, waved my hand over it a couple times making somewhat of a strobe pattern. I didn’t hear anything, I didn’t see anything come up, but I got that being watched feeling. I looked up, and directly above me was a trapezoid shaped craft with rounded edges that had a dark red and black pulsating glowing outline. It was like flowing electricity. It was not even 75 feet up, I could have hit this thing with a rock. I stood there while it hovered directly above me completely silent for maybe 10-15 seconds while it made this kind of motion similar to the ball that Luke trained with in Star Wars. It hovered side to side, front to back in a smooth motion, never getting more than 20 feet away from its original position. It was extremely fascinating, but I was frozen stiff. After those few seconds, I waved one hand at it in a friendly manner, it then changed light pattern and hovered away behind my house. Upon deeper inspection, the fact that it knew that I saw it but made no effort to evade my detection makes me think it wanted me to follow it, although I was too freaked out to think about that at the time.
I have seen that same craft on 3 other different occasions, once again in Tuscaloosa, once in Hoover, and once in Bessemer. The time I saw it in Hoover was at an apartment complex at the top of a huge hill with a great overlook. It was night time and I was with friends. Over the overlook, I saw a grey craft facing my direction that looked similar to a Hoth fighter(forgive the star wars references), and as soon as I saw it, it took off to the right silently extremely quick. The times in Bessemer and Tuscaloosa the trapezoid shape appeared in the sky solid white, stretched to twice its length, then the bottom shot up to the front, like it hit light speed or something.
I do frequently see what I like to call streaks. They look like shooting stars only very low, move slower, but they still have tails that stream behind them. They can also appear in many different colors. One strange story is one night when I had a dream in Tuscaloosa. In the dream, I couldn’t see or hear anything, but I could feel things. I was laying on something cold, and I felt what seemed like rubber between my legs around my junk. It was very strange to me since a lot of people who report abductions report sperm and eggs being taken for breeding programs. The next morning, I went to let the dog out in the backyard, which is very small. To the left of the patio, there was a solid white ring in the grass that was maybe 8-10 feet wide. I showed my mother and she had told me that she heard a noise that woke her up the night before, but she just dismissed it.
Another extremely confusing experience I had occurred in my driveway in Tuscaloosa. To give you an idea of where this occurred, look up Shelton State Community College. The house was less than a quarter mile from the campus in the Englewood neighborhood. It was night time and I heard this static that I could compare to a jet, I looked over and directly above the community college was a light blue slit in the sky. I would say it was maybe two hundred yards long, completely vertical, and had what looked like white electric currents coming off of both sides of it. I looked at it and maybe about 25 white things shot out of the slit to the left one at a time at a quick pace leaving the trail behind it that I previously talked about. After they passed, the bottom of the slit went upward until the slit closed, and it made a strange sound, and then it was gone.
I’ve also had a bunch of experiences with orbs. Some solid lit that float across the sky or move in strange patterns, and some that brighten up to a great intensity and then fade as they pass. After that first big experience I started doing some research because I was so confused. I understand that I’ve had an abnormally large amount of experiences, and I honestly can’t tell you why, I wish I could.
I found a type of UFO witness called a contactee. These people are similar to abductees except they are kept up with. I have no idea why I have had so many experiences, and I have only listed a fraction of them. My best guess would be that since I acknowledged the presence of whatever it was I was seeing, it decided to keep up with me. It’s kind of a gift and a curse. There are so few people that I can talk with about it and be taken seriously. I want to seek hypnotherapy to see if there might be anything else I could uncover.
It wasn’t moving or it wasn’t moving fast and wasn’t making any noise as far as I could tell although we were in a Land Rover, I could see all along the bottom and sides was like square pipes running all along it and although I’m not certain I seem to think and recall there being symbols or hieroglyphs as well.
As we passed it the top of it looked like a bowl and was a lighter grey and it remained there fixed and in place for a good 8-10 minutes until we drove out of sight.
36. In Edray, WV one night few years back my friend (who is driving) and I were taking his girlfriend home when he decided to take the “long way home”. As we are driving along this fairly deserted back road I began to zone out and I stare at this blinking red light off in the distance and casually think to myself “I wonder when they built a cell phone tower all the way out here. ” When suddenly it blinks and is dramatically closer than it was just a moment earlier, at this point my friend points it out and stops in the road. It blinks once more and is directly in front and over top of us, the red light is so bright it floods the car in a deep scarlet hue.
I lean forward so that I can see directly into the light, in that brief moment I feel a flood of negative emotions the closest description I can offer is to that of being naked under a giant microscope and having every pore examined thoroughly. I then look away from the light to my friend and ask him to drive, he barely responds apparently in a similar state. Then he snaps out of it and starts driving, as we get a little ways down the road I notice the red light isn’t fading and the interior of the car is still clearly lit by it. I look out the window and to my horror the light is following us and does so for approximately 1-2 miles.
The light unexpectedly veers off to the left and comes down to ground level in a patch of trees adjacent to the road. My friend stops the car again and continues to stare at it and abruptly declares he is going to get out and look it like he is in some sort of trance. He opens the door and I grab his arm and tell him if he does get out I will get in the driver seat and leave him, that we had to leave that instant. He looks at me and seems to come to and punches the gas so hard the tires lose traction and spin. The light remained stationary as we rode away but I’ve never looked at the night sky the same.
38. Well here goes. I guess I would consider myself an abductee.
As a child I had experiences of being abducted. I would lie awake in my bed all night in a state of hyper vigilance, trying to observe the bedroom door, closet door, windows, and walls around me all at once, until I exhausted myself to sleep. I have various memories of the little grey aliens grabbing me by the wrist to lead me around places outside of my bedroom (wherever they took me — nothing resembling a ship or anything, just a plan room), ‘counting’ my spine (they would run their fingers up each vertebrae on my back and to my child’s mind they were counting them), entering my room through the walls and so on. I’m terribly afraid of needles and I’m always worried that the nurse is going to touch the bone of my arm with the needle.
The small grey ones are about as tall as toddlers, 3 ft I suppose, classic grey. Large heads, big insect eyes. Their torso and limbs are very slender and you have difficulty figuring out how they stand and walk upright carrying that large head. Their fingers are very long, and the long fingers and the eyes are the creepiest things about them. Being with them is like being in the same room as a very creepy doll or mannequin, except they move around and are alive. They have a very disturbing vibe about them.
Their skin is grey and seems not to be flesh — it looks like it’s made out construction putty or something like that. They have no wrinkles and no musculature — their skin doesn’t wrinkle when they move, and you can’t see muscles flexing or anything like that. They don’t seem to have and personality or will, they are just like drones or something. I imagine that they probably stand in a closet when they are not working. But they still seem to be organic — they are not machines or robots. That skin and those eyes are their real skin and eyes, not a space suit or a helmet.
I also have memories of a ‘big’ grey alien, perhaps 6 feet tall, who I would be brought to after the ‘little guys’ were done with me. She defintely had a personality and a sense of presence about her. Her skin seemed to have more features — she wasn’t just putty like the little guys. I don’t know how I thought she was female, but perhaps her features were more slender.
She would look into my eyes with her large eyes and she could see all of my thoughts. I could sense her in my head. She would say things to me, clearly as an attempt to get me to believe them or buy into them. I could recognize them as not being my thoughts, but she didn’t seem to care. Trying to push against her will is like pushing a car in neutral when it’s coming down an incline — the car pushes you instead.
Having her in my mind is a very disempowering experience, and I would almost liken it to rape, but I don’t know what rape really is like, and I imagine it’s way worse. But I am trying to give you an idea of what it’s like. It’s not cool or fun at all. Someone else is in your innermost sanctum, your own mind and thoughts, and you didn’t invite them, you don’t want them there, and they are just doing whatever the hell they want.
At various times, she told me (telepathically) “Don’t make too much trash, or people will get sick” and “Stop cutting down so many trees”.
So also told me “We’re very grateful for your help”, “You’re a big help to us in our project”, and “Don’t tell other people about us, because they can’t see us, and they will only get upset”. She tried to make me feel positive about me being there, but I wasn’t having any of it. I only wanted them to take me back home. I had no idea where I was.
It’s like when you’re a kid, and a teacher tries to encourage you for doing something you don’t want to do, like sweeping the floor or picking up after yourself. “You did a great job sweeping! You’re such a big help” You don’t give a shit about helping the teacher, you just want to go and play or whatever. Well, I didn’t care what the Big One was saying. I just wanted to go home.
They’ve never told me any secrets of the universe, and I’ve never had any hybrid alien or non-grey experience.
FWIW I’ve had sleep paralysis experiences, and to me, these are different, just like a dream is different from a nightmare, and a nightmare is different from sleep paralysis.
In sleep paralysis, I have a dream (or nightmare) about a physical presence that is hostile or angry, and is restraining me or physically accosting me. I panic for a few moments, find that I can’t move, and then I jerk myself awake. Once I’m awake, it fades away quickly , just like a nightmare becomes not-so-real when you wake up.
With alien abductions, I don’t find myself knowing that they’ve happened. I just wake up feeling like complete shit, maybe several days in a row, and I might have daydreams about aliens or remembering scenes from alien abduction shows.
Sometimes I wake up in the early morning with the sense that “they just left”. I won’t be able to sleep for hours, and I will be very aware and afraid of doors and windows. I’m a grown man and when this happens I am not able to fall back to sleep for at least an hour.
As a kid, I remember finding an alien abduction book in the library, and it was like a door had been unlocked. My mom took us to McDonalds afterwards, and I finished the book there. I couldn’t put it down, and for the next three days, I was in shock. It was like confirmation that they were real, that other people did know about them, and that I was really never safe from them.
After that, as a teenager, I got my hands on all the alien abduction books and shows I could find. They scared the shit out of me but I had to keep reading them.
I have strong opinions about depictions of grey aliens, and there are some I consider to be very accurate while others seem like a stylized interpretation by someone who has never seen them. Basically, the more ‘realistic’ or human they looks, with facial features such as cheeks, septum, nose, wrinkles, or under the skin musculature, the less ‘authentic’ it seems to me. Also the eyes my be completely insectoid, wrapping around the sides, not forward facing or oval like a human’s. I suppose a wasp or a mantis has the most alien-like eyes out of all the insect. There are certain cats I’ve seen that seem to have alien-shaped eyes.
In my 20s I started seeing a therapist (I have depression) and during some really intense sessions I recalled the memories of the aliens, the specific memories I outlined about. I don’t believe the memories were blocked or anything; I just never dared ever to recall them, because the whole thing is so terrifying. I believe it’s a form of PTSD– it really does interfere with your sleep and mood. After that session, I was shaking so badly the therapist wasn’t going to release me to let me drive. She had to walk me through breathing exercises to get me to calm down.
If I were someone other than myself, I would be completely skeptical, and conclude that the alien abduction experience is just another type of sleep paralysis. Or that reading too many scary alien books will corrupt your mind. Or that is a ‘cover’ memory for sexual abuse. (But why would you dream up aliens? They’re as small as toddlers and frail looking. They never touched me sexually anyways).
But me having had the experiences I had, I just can’t believe it. Even if they device an experiment where they hook people up to machines and have brainwaves proving that certain types of sleep paralysis is the alien abduction phenomenon, I would still believe they were somehow real, because the experiences feel real, even after you wake up, not like a dream, nightmare, or sleep paralysis.
I don’t believe that aliens are organic creatures that evolved on another planet and fly here in advanced ships — the physics of faster than light travel just doesn’t work. The only ‘explanation’ I can come up with is that either they are creatures that can travel interdimensionally (perhaps they come from another dimension themselves) or they exist as independent entities in human consciousness. I know both of those are too crazy to really be explanations, but to me, those creatures are more than nightmares.
I know that on a logical level this is some kind of nightmare or brain disturbance, but let me tell you, the people that suffer from this really do suffer. Some people made up a name for this: “Post Abduction Disorder”. They aren’t trying to say that abductions are real, but just trying to help people who suffer from this. Of course, it’s not taken very seriously, and I understand why. But I do wish sufferers could talk more freely about it, without fear of ridicule or dismissal. I know it sounds completely crazy to people who haven’t suffered it.
This is the most I’ve ever told anyone about it. I am not interested in going to any groups or anything; my suspicion is that they are convinced there’s a government coverup. I’m not interested in conspiracy theories.
39. This is a story of my father’s. It happened in 1982 while my father was stationed on a military base in New Brunswick. One night my fathers best friend and his girlfriend left just after dark to go see Tron there was no movie theatre near the base so they had a long drive ahead of them. they said goodbye to my father and left.
About an hour later my friends father and his girlfriend were back on the base, the car pulled in and my father immediately noticed that it was damaged pretty badly and covered in several different colors of paint. My father asked them what had happened, why they had not gone to the movie. They brushed him off and went to bed. Dad said they looked pretty shook up.
A few days later my father got out of his friend what had happened. My fathers friends were driving along a stretch of highway with not much around but trees and hills, when they rounded a bend they noticed that a bunch of strange lights were coming from over a hill just ahead (where no lights should be because there was nothing around for miles) .
Just at the base of that hill was a parking lot for a park of some kind with a narrow entrance. A bunch of cars were pulling into the parking lot to investigate the lights so my fathers friend pulled in to, every one got out of their cars and were about to start hiking to the top of the hill, when a large disk with flashing lights rose above the hills peak emitting a loud strange sound. everyone who was there ran for their car and tried desperately to crash their way out through the narrow entrance as only one car could fit through at a time, cars scraped together breaking parts off transferring paint. My fathers friends drove back to the base as fast as possible. My fathers friend took him to the spot that it happened there were car mirrors and other miscellaneous parts littering the parking lot.
A few days later men in black suits showed up on the base looking for people. they talked to my fathers friend then sent him on his way. My father asked him what the men wanted to see him for. The said that he better shut the fuck up, and don’t tell anybody about anything that happened if he wanted to keep his military career.
40. Back when I was an undergrad I had a couple buddies who were big stargazers. One of them lived in a remote part of Eastern WA where you could see everything clearly away from the light pollution. He invited me and another friend to visit his family for Thanksgiving one year and we said yes.
One night we went out into a field of knee high grass and were looking up at the sky. It was really neat and we saw a bunch of shooting stars. My friend suddenly pointed to a bright light in the sky and asked what it was. My other friend, the one interested in astronomy didn’t know. It looked kind of like a planet, but evidently there shouldn’t have been any visible planets that night (I don’t know enough about stars to know if this is true, so please don’t flame me. My friend was positive it wasn’t a planet though). It didn’t really move, but it bobbed in the sky, kind of bouncing up and down. Then, like a candle or something, it fizzled out. It literally looked like it burned up. That would have been weird by itself, but that wasn’t the weirdest part.
We sort of thought nothing of it and were actually joking about seeing a UFO, when we came across a guy. In the middle of a field. I still have no idea how he got there since we could see pretty far in all directions and would have noticed him walking around. He was youngish, pretty much our age. He wasn’t wearing any shoes or a shirt and, as far as I could tell, was only wearing jeans. He was sitting curled up, with his arms wrapped around his knees, and shivering. Keep in mind it was the end of November so no one would ever go out without a shirt, much less a jacket. We were scared to approach him so we asked from afar if he was okay. He sort of stared at us blankly and said he was fine. He didn’t sound drunk, but you could hear in his voice that he was cold. Eventually we went over to him and asked how he got there. He said he didn’t want to talk about it and that he needed to go to the hospital. My friend called 911 and some cops showed up with an ambulance at a nearby gas station we all walked to. I let him borrow my coat while we waited. He didn’t really say anything except he asked for our names and what were doing. He also asked my friend about a couple constellations.
The cops asked us a few questions and paramedics took the dude away. I let him keep my jacket.
My friend told the story to his family the next morning and I remember I had forgotten all about the light. He made that connection though. His family thought it was spooky but figured we’d just had a run in with a junkie.
41. This is a family story I’ve heard only twice. I can’t remember how it was brought up the first time, but the explanation was very vague so I asked again a few months later when the family had come together at the cottage during summer. They seemed kind of…iffy talking about it but provided more details. Mind you, this was a few years ago so I don’t remember all the little intricacies.
They live in Ukraine but took a trip to Turkey sometime in the 90s. They had rented a little cottage there that was far enough into the countryside to be considered fairly remote. Long story short, one evening the dogs outside started going absolutely crazy- barking viciously and just overall behaving erratically. One of them- my grandma’s brother, I believe- went outside to check what was going on, and saw what they can only describe as a UFO nearing their cottage, pretty high up in the sky but lowering a bit as it came closer. He called for the rest of the family to come and see, and to this day they can still confirm what they saw (well, the ones that are still alive, at least). They said it was triangle shaped and had three lights, one in each corner. When it got seriously close to the house they really began to panic and ran back inside. The very walls were shaking, dishes were breaking from the force of the vibrations going throughout the walls and floor, and the dogs outside were barking louder than ever.
It hovered over the cottage for several minutes before ascending back up and disappearing. These are all people who are very conservative and rational, and they hate discussions regarding the supernatural, so I have no doubt in my mind that they were telling the truth.
42. I was about 8 years old when I had the worst nightmare of my life.
I was lying in my bed when a dark figure climbed through my bedroom window. I was a master of pretending to be asleep (the perks couldn’t be overlooked- missing CCD, Mass, and getting carried in from long car rides and tucked in) so I did the same as I was carried through my window. It felt so surreal, at this point I realized it was a dream. Eyes still closed, I only had the sensation of ascension. I felt myself stop, and opened my eyes to a dark room with reddish lights. I can’t properly describe it, as it was long ago, in a dreamy state, and plus it was just otherworldly. I felt just a soft pinch on the back of my left hand and the front of my right. Next thing I knew, I was back in my bed with the uncontrollable urge to cry. I ran downstairs to my babysitter and just cried in her arms. She did the classic “it was just a dream”. And obviously, I believed it.
It wasn’t until the next morning I noticed the scarring on the back of my left hand, as well as the noticeable metal (about the size of a small ball bearing) under the skin of my right palm. The next few years, the metal would often cause my skin to bubble up around it, cause warts, set off metal detectors, and confound every doctor I went to. It was noticeably more irritable in places like church, airports, and next to circuit breakers. I never got it removed, because I was scared of being anesthetized, and I kind of liked feeling different having it there. Five years after the incident, the metal fell out on it’s own, and now my skin is just slightly grayed there. I believe it was aliens with all my being. I also still have the scar on my left hand, though it has shrunken considerably.
43. I had a chemistry professor in high school who was a very upright, respectable man. He also coached the soccer team that I played on. I have absolutely no reason to doubt this story and he wasn’t the kind of guy to joke about it anyway.
When he was in college he, his girlfriend, another friend, and that friend’s dog were walking along the beach one warm night in Rhode Island. His friend and the dog ran into the dunes, leaving just my teacher and his girlfriend. As they were sitting there, a bright light started moving across the sky, and then rapidly got bigger as it approached them. Within a minute, a giant space ship was hovering above the ocean. It hovered for 30 seconds perfectly silent, and then shot off again, rapidly shrinking and then disappearing in the distance.
Him and his girlfriend were absolutely flabbergasted. When the friend and his dog showed up, neither of them had seen or heard anything, though they were past the dunes and away from the beach. But here’s the kicker- my teacher and his girl went back to his parent’s house after, and immediately started telling what they saw. His skeptical parents devised a clever solution to prove if the story was true- they brought each of them into a different room, gave them a blank sheet of paper and a pen, and had them independently draw the ship they had seen.
They both drew the exact same picture, with the same shape and ring of lights around the middle, and estimated its width and distance from the shore similarly.
At this point telling our class the story, my teacher drew the ship on the white board for added visual effect, and it was a wide oval with a ring of lights in the middle and a bright light on the bottom.
I’m not sure if alien abductions and whatnot are true, but hearing this guy tell this story was impressive.
44. My Grandfather, back in Circa 1965, used to stare at the night sky, looking for aliens, he always said it’s just the dots that move weird, i could never see them, be he knew what he was looking for.
45. Mine isn’t all that interesting but at the time, I was blown away. I got up from watching TV to close the blinds and happened to look up at the sky. I saw what looked like a formation of three lights in the shape of a triangle. They appeared to be on a craft of the same shape. I grabbed my closest camera and by the time I started recording, the first one had “ascended” and another one behind it was following the same path. You can see in the video that I set the camera down for a sec to grab my wife for a witness. Sorry for the poor quality, I was way too excited. For a full disclaimer, this was shot on the west side of Chicago, facing north. One could make the argument that it was a plane from O’Hare. I’m not going to rule anything out, but I will say I’ve seen a ton of air traffic in my life and this was way too big to be a regular passenger plane.
46. I just kinda shook it off after maybe 15 minutes as a weird coincidence and hopped up to meander my way home.
When I got home all the lights were off which I found kinda weird until I went to plug my phone in. It was 2 am.
47. October of 2009, my dad calls me and says he wants to go camping for the weekend and that he was leaving right away, this is like 4 or 5 in the afternoon. I agree, he picks me up, and we head out to the Mogollon Rim. It gets dark before we get there and rains a little bit. Very weird vibe, we pass a stranded motorist, and we are usually the type to stop and help but we decided against it.
As we get close to the camp site, I see what I think is a tent with a lantern in it (it is glowing bright yellow/orange) in the distance, a little lower in elevation than we were. As we keep driving, it doesn’t seem to get any closer until it randomly moves and gets bigger. That’s when we realize it isn’t a tent. I tell him to stop the car, he does, and shuts off the lights. The light slowly gets bigger and kind of twists, and slowly moves from left to right. Then after about 2-5 minutes, it gets a little smaller then shoots straight out to 12 o’clock until it wasn’t visible anymore. When it left, it left VERY fast. And when it left, it lit up the forest. That’s when i realized we were looking over the edge of the rim.
We both agreed that we didn’t know what the fuck it was, and it was probably an alien. Still shook up, we got to our destination and set up camp, had a great weekend.
48. I was vacationing on Plum Island one summer probably around 2012/2013. My family noticed a star-like thing in the sky and decided to look at it through a telescope since it was still light outside and seemed strange. This thing literally had tiny black spots crawling all over it, and was only slightly moving.
We thought it might be a planet but the fact that something was crawling and moving all over it didn’t make sense. My brother and dad got in the car to try and get a closer look, and witnessed something from this object literally land into some bushes far away and it was still glowing. All I know is that I have never had a valid explanation for what it was, and it was SCARY.
49. About two years ago I was in Naples, Florida with my friend, staying at his dad’s place. We were on the porch having a smoke around 11pm. I was leaning on the railing when suddenly what I thought was a plane in the distance turned towards us.
It was flying so low that the front lights blinded us. My friend scrambled for his phone which turned out to be dead, and I, fearing I would miss it, didn’t want to run inside to grab my phone. Though the craft was steadily gliding, it was all happening so fast. As the object got closer we noticed it was a huge triangle, almost venti black, and had three huge circular lights on the bottom. It was so close, just above the trees right in front of the building.
It was so silent. The only thing making a sound was the trees rustling blow the craft. Then the huge black triangle mother fucker turned on a DIME right In front of us and disappeared over the tops of the buildings. I swear to god this happened, I wouldn’t have believed what I saw if I didn’t see it with someone else.
50. I was maybe 11 or 12 and we would always play hide and seek at night around neighboring houses with friends. It was a crystal clear sky and I was hiding in bushes up next to my friend’s house when a black triangle, with teal blue lights, hovered slowly above me, much lower than an airplane. Hard to say how high, but it was almost gliding. It was also more elongated, like a star destroyer shape from Star Wars. Of course, I told my friends, but none of them believed me. Not really spoken about it much since.
51. My family was at a hunting cabin in the boonies of PA at a friend’s wedding reception. The cabin was situated in a small clearing in the forest. It was pitch black out except for the bonfire. All of a sudden all the woodsy sounds stopped. No crickets, no birds, no bullfrogs. The adults were all drunk and carrying on but we kids noticed immediately. The night was suddenly silent except for the rustling of the tree tops.
I can’t explain it but, something I couldn’t readily identify was coming over the tree tops into the clearing and it was moving SLOW and it was BIG. It was way too slow and way too low to be a plane. It had 3 lights at the back and we could just make out a massive triangular shape. It was a black that made the night sky above it seem lighter. It didn’t make any noise at all which freaked me out.
I think there were 4 or 5 of us kids and we had been playing a little ways away from the fire. Well, once we saw it, you better believe we hauled ass to the adults pointing to the sky and yelling. I was scared. The adults thought we were just being dramatic but when my mom looked up, she saw it. Then everyone saw it. It couldn’t have been more than a hundred feet above the tree tops and the tree tops were moving like a tornado was coming through but, on the ground, it was really still.
As we watched, it turned above the clearing then blasted out of view without a sound. As soon as it was gone the crickets started chirping again. My family had planned to stay the night at the cabin but we didn’t. I must have been 9 or 10 at the time but I’ve never forgotten it or the way I felt seeing it. The whole thing lasted maybe a few minutes but I had such a terrible feeling of dread in my stomach. I haven’t ever felt fear like that since. My mom and I still talk about it sometimes. Scary stuff.
52. Met a guy while I was tripping on LSD who was working a snowcone stand. He looked like a carnival worker and had a pentagram necklace and an illuminati ring (not joking). He must have sensed we were on something so he proceeded to unload his crazy story on us.
In the 70’s or 80’s there was a big alien spotting epidemic for a few years apparently. He saw a saucer hover above a radio tower where he worked and claimed others were there to witness during the middle of the day as well. In addition, he had another sighting when cruising around with his then girlfriend very late at night. They followed it for half an hour through oilfield roads and finally saw it land in an open field. It flashed its light at them so they flashed the headlights back. Then they both blinked and looked down and it was exactly something like 3 hours later and neither could recall exactly what had happened. He said he talked to the newspaper and somebody writing a book about alien encounters.
I assumed that he was high on meth or coke or something and was just making up stories to account for his blacking out in the middle of a wild bender night. However, I went back home and googled some of the bits of information and it turns out he wasn’t lying and actually believed this happened to him. Sure enough, he was in the local paper and was quoted in a book published long ago and told his abduction story there.
I wish I remember all the details better but it was so crazy and came at such a weird time that I didn’t write anything down.
53. Around ~9 PM walking through a local nature trail. There aren’t many animals in this particular reserve–common birds, squirrels, the like; if you walk all the way into the deep woods, maybe a bear or two, but other than that, not much that you haven’t already seen in your backyard. So, all of a sudden there’s this shrill fucking scream, and at that point I’m sort of getting scared because it’s cold, it’s dark and there wouldn’t be anyone out there at this time, and there are no animals that I know of that would make such a sound.
On my right side, into the shrubs, there’s this figure rustling in the underbrush, about 5′ and crouching. Too dark to make out what it looked like, but it kept making these weird fucking snorting noises. Could have been anything really–I’ve seen all sorts of things in the woods, from teenagers smoking weed to a man in a full body bee costume. But this just struck me as really weird and unexplained
Needless to say, I booked it the fuck out. Number one reason why you don’t walk around in murky woods at night.
54. We were hiking with friends and my sister and I got separated from the group as we stopped to look at the night sky. It was a gorgeous summer night, very clear. I remember being able to see the huge array of stars extending over the sky like a carefully crafted mantle made out of glitter. We stopped on a high rock and when we turned around to continue our way up the trail, we saw this little person about 200 meters away from us. We stopped cold and didn’t move for a while, then the little person kinda waved and started walking with a high speed towards the forested part of the park, away from the rocky mountain. I will never forget and to this day I avoid going hiking by myself or late at night. I couldn’t sleep for a few days.
The figure was thin, with long legs, I mean his legs were too long for his body. Also when it sort of waved, I noticed it had long fingers too. It had normal sized eyes and no mouth or at least none we could see.
55. I was driving down a road in the middle of the day (there are fields on both sides), no other cars on the road. I saw what looked like a falling star, it was a big white ball of light with a tail, and it was hard to look at, even with sunglasses on. I had time to pull over and stop, still watching it fall straight down.
This thing was going way faster than it should have, and so I was struggling to get my phone out of my pocket without taking my eyes off of it. Here’s where it gets weird. Without warning, when it reached about eye level, it leveled off. I watched this thing go from vertical to horizontal in less than a second. It disappeared behind a line of trees and I noped out of there.
56. I was coming home one night from work at about 2am. I approached a church that I passed every single day. The first weird thing I noticed was a radio tower-esque light hovering above it. It was red and was blinking in an unusual manner. Most radio towers have an alert light that has some kind of pattern to it. This one was just going nuts.
The next thing I noticed was that all of the streetlights in the parking lot were out. This place has a VERY well lit parking lot that was completely black.
I pulled up to it and immediately hit the breaks. Hovering about 200ft above the steeple was a long airship with these weird vents protruding off the sides. The vents seemed to be spotlights that was illuminating the church-yard and some of the street.
It made no noise. It just hovered there like a weird balloon perfectly silent. It even drifted slightly to one side. I was I shock. I remember sitting there going “what the FUCK is that?”
I’ve seen blimps, helicopters , planes…. It was none of those.
After watching it in shock for what seemed like 20 minutes (but it was probably just seconds) it shot off. Like 0 to 100 in mere milliseconds. I tried to follow it but in moments it was a speck, and then it was gone.
I told my friends about it but of course, it was one of those “uh huh SURE.” Conversations Like obviously they don’t believe me.
I am not into alien conspiracies, nor am I a “sky watcher”. Had I not seen it with my own eyes, stone sober, with the closeness that I did…. I wouldn’t believe it either. I kick myself for not taking a photo, but my phone at the time was a blackberry with a 3-megapixel camera so it would have just looked like a black blob.
57. I was listening to the local radio when all of a sudden it cuts out. Not sure if this was a coincidence or not but it creeped me out. The static radio sound was left in the background, I got really scared of this stuff so I thought i’d get my dad to come and fix the radio. However, I got up and gazed out of the window only to see all the street lights were off. Most street lights tend to turn off by 3AM, which is why this is extra weird. I look up far into the sky and see two red and blue lines in the sky, standing completely still. Motionless in the sky.
My first thought was a military aircraft or something (I was an 8-year-old who was obsessed with planes and UFOs etc) but what convinced me that they were something more is the fact that they started circling each other and eventually blasted off crazy fast into the sky. I’m talking mad fast, like the speed of light. They just turned into blurs. I might have been seeing things, but as soon as they had left the radio came back into tune. The street lights turned back on , and I could now hear all the cars in the distance, and the wind. When the UFOs were above my street, everything was silent.
58. Okay, starting off I’d just like to say I don’t believe in this stuff and I’m a logical person, so I don’t actually think it was an alien encounter, and I don’t ‘claim’ that it happened as I remember. But it felt really real and afterwards I was sure it had actually happened. And it did make me wonder a bit afterwards, “what if?”.
This was a few years ago, I was a teen/young adult. I remember laying on the couch reading and as I was about to drift of I was waken again by these really bright lights. They hurt my eyes and it was really hard to see anything. I felt really panicky and this kind of light/ floaty-feeling. Like I was falling and never hitting the ground.
I remember lying down and that I couldn’t move. What I remember best was the very cold and move or get something warm and that I couldn’t do anything about it. My body hurt, mostly my legs (like someone had stuck a knife into them), or like they had been removed. There were shapes around me, not quite-human and long, like shadows stretching up the wall, but I couldn’t get a good look of them, but they were watching me and I knew they weren’t human. I don’t remember any sounds, or many specifics. I just remember it being really uncomfortable and terrified, and the pain in my legs. It went on for an uncomfortably long time and I just couldn’t move or wake up, or do anything. I just lay there feeling watched and my legs hurting a lot.
I woke on the sofa and that’s it. Some people would probably call it an alien ‘abduction’, but I think it was probably just night terrors or sleep paralysis. It was terrifying whatever it was. I don’t envy people who have regular sleep paralysis.
59. I was doing wildlife research in a remote part of WV that required us to be out late at night. Saw two lights in the sky that danced around in an unexplainable pattern to anything I’ve ever seen. I’m a rational person so my hypothesis would be military testing due to where we were. Close enough to DC, but remote enough that there are a lot of secret bases etc. out there. Nothing fancy, just something I couldn’t explain. Witnessed it with another colleague.
60. My friends and I we’re hanging out a park at night just talking and hanging out. I look up to the night sky and look at the brightest star (which there aren’t many because we’re in Boston/Cambridge) when i see this really faint red/purple looking object circling the star. I’m like freaking out but at the same time thinking i must be seeing things. I tell my friend to look up and he also sees the faint object circling the star.
At first I’m thinking if it’s somehow possible it’s space junk reflecting light, but the object then starts moving in random directions around the star, so I realize it can’t be space junk. To this day I’m curious of what it could have been. I was freaked out, yet excited at the same time.
61. Witnessed an alien abduction back in 2001…
This takes place when I was 13. A friend of mine wanted me to help her grandparents set up their computer. I said sure and ride my bicycle to their house.
I get there and clouds appear so I decide to make this pretty quick. I set up the computer and install AOL for them, showing them all how it works and such. They go back and sit on the couch while I get my backpack to get ready to leave as their other granddaughter who is about 4 or 6 years old (I can’t remember which) was sleeping in the other room.
All of a sudden a cold breeze went through the room. It was odd as all the doors and windows were shut.
The grandparents looked toward the kitchen and what I saw made me freeze in place. There were three creatures standing in the kitchen. Two of them were short grey creatures with a thicker neck than described with the eyes closer to the sides of their heads. They wore silver jumpsuits. In between them was a taller creature looking like a humanoid mantis wearing a black robe with a yellow stripe going down the middle. They walk to another room and a minute later return with the robed creature carrying the granddaughter in its arms. It’s looking at me and I get the feeling it knows who I am. I don’t know why I got the feeling but I did.
I was very scared. More of the situation than of them and the grandparents were looking at them too but not doing anything. I decide to say “screw this” and fought off all the fear I could and clumsily charged toward them. I didn’t even make three steps before the grandfather stopped me and told me they will bring her back. The creatures didn’t move and continued to look at me. I couldn’t get any more words out of my throat because I didn’t even know what to think at this point. All of a sudden the light stretched around them and they vanished. An odd glow remained for a few seconds before fading.
After a minute of an awkward silence and the grandfather repeating she will be brought back soon I decided to leave. I rode my bicycle back home fast as I could while looking back to see if some ship was hiding in the clouds. Nothing was there and I didn’t sleep that night I got home.
The next day I did tell my friend what happened and she did tell me it has happened before. The grandparents and other family members have tried to stop it but to no avail. They just accepted it with a look of defeat and moved on.
62. I don’t know if it was aliens, but when I was 12 I was out in the woods behind my parents house, I saw 2 large silver discs fly across the sky low enough to the ground that I could tell they were both close to the size of a house. They flew off out of sight, and I never could really explain it.
63. This happened two and a half years ago.
I was in my room staying up at around two am doodling and just avoiding sleep as I had been for around three days (bad idea sleep deprivation, I know) but before I get to far into my story lemme tell you that I have always had a kind of super irrational paranoia at night, so whenever I was doodling and I look at my 80’s TV in my room and see my closet door opening with a hand sticking out I can assure you I freaked the fuck out.
I try to ignore it and I tell myself I am dreaming, but then I look outside my window. I see some sort of triangle above my house with extremely powerful flashing lights. I see another movement in my TV screen, so I decide to book it into the master bedroom downstairs and hide under the gigantic covers. I slowly peek out and see four different figures surrounding the giant queen sized bed I then see the power flicker out on the monitor on my desk.
I see the figure in the dark reach down and touch my head, I pass out and start having really vivid dreams that I knew were dreams. Like I could feel that they were fake and that I needed to wake up, but every time I did I woke up to a kind of surgical light and a very scary sensation I now know to be sleep paralysis. Every time I would go back to sleep I would feel some sort of tingling sensation in my legs, arms and head.
After a few times of waking up to the light, I woke back up in the bed room with the figures standing over me whispering in a rough scratchy voice about something. The one closest to me touched my head and I semi passed out again with the sensation of sleep paralysis freezing me into a fearful kind of passing out. I wake up the next morning, my clothes completely drenched in sweat and something super sticky. I was afraid to sleep for about two years I have barely slept without sleep paralysis until a few months ago. I have always kept this to my self, I now am afraid of being alone, my paranoia has heightened and sleep is very hard to come by.
I also have long scar like marks on my legs head and arms where I had felt the sort of feeling you get when you are being numbed and cut into aka a tingling feeling.
64. When I was 17 I was a bit of a screw-off, and my parents sent me to one of those “attitude adjustment” type camps in Utah. This place was in the middle of nowhere, and we spent 45 days hiking through the wilderness. Near the end of our time there, everyone was supposed to go in a ‘vision quest’ where we fasted for three days alone in the woods in a designated spot. (Though I did sneak my personal can of peanut butter and a bag of crackers with me, so I had enough to eat.)
On the second night, I saw a UFO. It was triangle-shaped, with a bright light on each corner. It would zip around the sky, traveling what must have been 50 miles in a fraction of a second. For a while, I watched it zip around in utter fascination, not believing what I was seeing.
Then I did something stupid. I yelled at it. I told the ship I could see it. And it heard me.
It’s hard to describe, but the beings in the ship made a sort of telepathic connection with me. It didn’t “talk” to me per se, it more just…communicated the message. Like I just ‘knew’ what they were saying to me. And man, these beings were evil. They told me that they were going to take me up in their ship, and when I told them that I had just wanted to say hello, but didn’t actually want to go with them, they said it didn’t matter.
At this point, I’m terrified. I know, and they know, that something truly awful was going to happen to me. I started scrambling for something to do. So I started yelling the Lord’s Prayer. Of all things, that gave them some hesitation, so I kept yelling. (At this point the ship was probably 400 yards above me.). Then they told me that it wasn’t over, and they’d be back. Fucking terrifying. (I’m not sure whether they ever ‘came back’. A couple years later I awoke to a being grabbing my ankles trying to drag me out of my apartment. But I was frozen with fear and couldn’t fight back. It might have been sleep paralysis for all I know. But that’s another story.)
I don’t ever talk about that night, but I know what I saw in those Utah mountains. I tried telling a couple people when I got home, but all they said was that I must have been hallucinating from the lack of food (which I doubt) or that I was imagining things. After a few people started saying “hey ZippityZop, tel everyone about that time you saw aliens” at social gatherings, I stopped talking about it entirely. But they weren’t there, and they didn’t see or experience what I did.
I’m a pretty normal guy now. I’ve got an office job and lead a nice boring life. But yeah, I’ve seen a UFO.
65. A few weeks ago. Was working promo outside one of the bars in town. Pitch black sky, but cloudless, so the sky is black and you can see some stars decently enough, my town isn’t exactly massive. typical Yorkshire town. Not all of them, so it’s bright enough to make out objects in the sky but dark enough that their shape is obscured. Standing there holding the sign, fully sober, wide awake, never hallucinated, and no lights were there to cause sunspots in my eyes or any logical explanation.
For some reason I look up. I sometimes look up just to make sure the sign is still facing the right way (I usually hold it half arsed and get paid to stand around doing fuck all). There I see what was either one large craft or four smaller crafts.
Basically imagine a 4×4 row/column.
1 2 3 4
2
3
4
Where 2 and 4 are red lights and 1 is the front. These lights were quite bright themselves, but didn’t attract attention from below, I was lucky to look up and see. They all moved uniform and they seemed quite low down, so it was either 4 amazingly synced crafts or a single low craft. My guess would be a single low flying craft.
The issue is town was dead, it was silence save for the bouncers chatting with staff outside. You could hear cars a block or two away (not that there were any that night). But this thing that seemed to float over the buildings low down made no noise whatsoever. It wasn’t lanterns, it wasn’t affected by wind, the lights didn’t light up anything above them but they couldn’t be seen through like there was nothing above them. It was as if a large craft flew over that was both silent and had the ability to blend in with the night, as the craft itself absorbed it’s light so it gave the appearance of 4 floating lights. This was in the UK, and all the ufo and stealth plane stuff I’ve seen isn’t quite the same. But I’ve only seen it that once. It went straight over the street and behind the buildings where I couldn’t see it anymore. Nobody said a thing. And the people here have neither the means nor brains to pull off a hoax like this, especially on a day that’s dead, unlike today will be.
66. I used to live next to the beach in a apartment complex. One night I was with my friend looking at the ocean from the balcony. We couldn’t see much as it was dark but the light from the moon was enough for us to watch the waves on the shore. After a while my friend tell me it was so dark that if I stand up over there the only thing she could see are my teeth and we started laughing. Seconds later we see a light on the ocean it slowly came out of the water. What we saw was like a orb shaped ball of light. It lighted so hard for a moment that I almost couldn’t see it. It kept going up slowly and it suddenly flied fast to the sky at light speed disappearing in the dark sky.
Everything happens in like 8 seconds we both were freak out and went inside the apartment. My mother and brother didn’t believed us as expected. It was a a scary but incredible experience. Years later I saw a report on national geographic about orb shaped lights flying around forest in USA. I knew it was the same thing I saw.
67. Painesville, Ohio. Rewind to August 1996? 97? And 12 year old me, my two older brothers, and our neighbor friend are laying on the trampoline in the backyard after a summer night just staring at the sky and talking, when the neighbor girl says “hey, what’s that light?”
Me, my oldest brother, and and her saw what looked like a lime green, rounded diamond shaped (sort of like an egg and it’s side) float in the sky. It had a foggy aura around it, and left a short trail of mist/fog/smoke/exaust behind it, but nothing lingered, just dissipated immediately. It lasted for about 3 seconds, then disappeared totally and completely. It appeared without warning, no sound at any point, floated from left to right about the length of a house and lawn, and disappeared completely. I’d say it was about as big as your smartphone held at arms length, but in the sky. It was low, too. About 50-100 feet high. My middle brother is the only one who didn’t see it due to his position on the trampoline (Like if you think of a compass, we were laying N, E, S, W, and only N, E, and S saw it.)
To this day my brother and I maintain what we saw. I’ve asked and looked everywhere for an explanation, and nothing. My dad claims it was a lightning ball? I call malarkey due the lime green color and slight smokey exhaust. I’d love to be proven wrong and or have this explained still.
68. So this isn’t necessarily my story, but my family’s. This happened in the mid-eighties and I wasn’t born yet but I have heard this story from every member of my immediate family. This means that it is either an elaborate and well-orchestrated prank pulled by my entire family for the last 20+ years or they saw something.
I think a little background on my family is necessary. My parents are pretty old and super religious — not the type of people who are into extraterrestrials or pranks per se. We’re talking mashed-potatoes suburbia folk. So to me, it lends a little credibility to their story, because they don’t really have the motive to make something like this up. Anyway, on to the story.
So it was a summer day in the mid-eighties and my entire family (Mom, Dad, Brother, and Sister) had just returned home from some event — possibly a family reunion, but I’m not sure on this part. It was early evening and the my brother and sister were out riding their bicycles in the driveway and on the allotment. Allegedly while they were riding their bike’s they saw this big ship to the south heading north and kind of freaked out and ran to get my parents.
According to both of my parents, the ship slowly approached the house and it was enormous. It was triangular in shape and had windows all along the bottom of the aircraft that you could see into. The weird part, according to my dad, was that the ship appeared to be metal (not a blimp) but it did not emit any sound which was strange due to the ships massive size.
Needless to say, after the gawked at it for a minute or so, they all kind of freaked out and hid in the basement. Nothing really happened after. I don’t know what the ship was and neither does my family — it could have been extraterrestrial or it could have been some type of classified military ship. Feel free to form your own opinions, but I’m not sure why they would be buzzing suburban homes with a top-secret military craft though.
69. I’m not sure if this counts as alien or not but I definitely saw something I can’t explain at all about 5 years ago and have been dying to tell the story in a thread. About five years ago me and two other friends were on our way back from Warped Tour in Maryland being driven by one of the friend’s mom, because none of us had a car we could drive yet. It was almost night, the sun was still kind of out and it wasn’t that dark yet and we were driving on a 2 lane highway that had trees on either side of the road and a median in the middle of the lanes. Basically some creature ran out from the trees on the other side of the highway, jumped the median and sprinted towards the trees on our side. We almost hit the thing and our friends mom had to slam on the brakes and everyone is the car was screaming our heads off, not because it was a “look out for that deer” situation but because this was the scariest fucking looking thing I’ve ever seen. It was black, had long gangly limbs and moppy black long stringy hair. This thing moved so fucking weird I can see it clearly to this day. It galloped so awkwardly, did not run at all like a deer or anything of the sort, when it jumped it jumped off of the back two legs and landed again on the back two legs before coming down and galloping across the road. Everyone in the car said the same thing. Which was “what the FUCK was that thing.” To this day I am convinced it was a demon or an alien or an escaped medical experiment. It was large, and terrifying and the way it moved was unlike anything I have ever seen in my life. I wish I had more details but sadly that’s all I remember, I’ve asked my friends and that friends mom about it numerous times years after the fact and it still gives everyone shivers.
70. Me and my sister have seen the same UFO multiple times on our own property. I even believe she has been abducted before, due to an extreme change in her behavior the morning after one of our sightings. It looks like a large ball of very bright shining orange light that comes from high up in the sky and slowly lowers until its just meters from the ground.
We live out in the sticks, on an old farm that we inherited from our parents. We don’t do much farming here any more but we do still keep some cattle. Every time we’ve had a sighting, we wake up the next day to find one or more of our cattle is completely missing from the barn (There is absolutely no way they can get out on their own). After this had happened a few times, we saw the light again and my sister (being extremely stubborn ) decides to stay up all night to see if she could figure out what was happening, but when it had gotten pretty late i got tired and decided to go to bed.
When I woke up, my sister was very much not herself. I asked her what happened but she wouldn’t talk about it at all. She has never really been the same since that night. She did eventually start to go back to her normal self, but she completely dodges any questions about what went down that night.
71. Before I tell my story I’d like to say that I a complete skeptic and question anything and everything supernatural. I think extraordinary claims, should ALWAYS require extraordinary evidence. Even to this day, I will never be able to empirically prove what I experienced.
I am currently 26 years old, this happened on June 16th, 2007. I remember it vividly, It was immediately embedded in to my long term memory when it all happened, in psychology I believe they refer to these events as a flashbulb memories.
Anyways, I was living in my parents home at the time. It was a pretty stormy night, the wind was gusting slightly more than usual, rain was coming down violently, your typical crackles of thunder/lightning. I was playing WoW at the time, enjoying the idea that I had a legitimate excuse not to go out and do anything. I was about to finish one of the longest chain quests in the game AND…BOOM the internet goes out. I try for about 30 anxious minutes to get the internet to work, and you guessed it… nothing. I head to my room, frustrated. Here I am… home alone, no internet and irritated as hell. My parents at the time were out at a work related event. I remember laying on my bed just staring at the ceiling, turn my head to look at my old retro alarm clock, it read: 06:18 pm. KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK! I immediately sprung up, eyes wide open, startled as hell! I crawl to my window that faces the front door and… KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK! again… I peek outside my window to see three tall men literally dressed in your typical FBI looking black suits. One had what looked to be a folder/file or something, another had a what I have now identified as a Geiger-Counter, the other one was beating my door with his huge fist. I head to the door not really thinking much of it, I honestly thought they were church people just soliciting their beliefs.
I open the door, the one man nearest the door that was knocking, greets me in a very mono-tone voice, pulls out a badge and says him and his colleagues need to check the water source from the house’s facets. I ask them a bunch of questions… It turns out that they were in fact the FBI and someone had allegedly tried to poison the city water. I called my parents to let them know what was going on, they okay-ed the situation. The guys in the suits didn’t even check the water in my house, they had some other group of gov’t guys show up and check. I tried to ask if there was a motive or if it was terrorist.. what ever it might be. They simple said they couldn’t talk about it in detail.
OUT OF FUCKING NOWHERE… All the lights in the house go out, its pitch black the guys in suits tell everyone to stay calm, they think its just a power outage. The guys taking water samples turn on their flashlights, as one of the flash lights, flashes over the tallest of the suited men, I see a reflection from his face, like there was metal under his face. The guy with the flash light quickly directs the light somewhere else. A moment later, the guy with the flash light says: “Sir it’s has begun”. The suited guy with the Geiger-Counter turns it on. The thing just starts going haywire.
Not even 3 seconds later, It felt as if I was being pulled into a million different directions, I could not see anything at first just excruciating pain, I thought I was in the process of being disintegrated alive. Out of nowhere, I see nothing but white, I literally thought I was in what religious people call heaven. A man appears to me and smiles, swings his arm in an inviting/gesture way, as if I were entering a ball room dance or party. I try to walk but nothing, then white room gets sucked into itself, and I see my life flash before my eyes, I see everything, Disneyland at 5, my first kiss at 15, watch 911 happen on TV with mom and dad, everything. I see earth suspended in space, I am watching Earth from above, and I fall…. I am falling, heart racing, numbness, disbelief. I see the ground getting closer and closer, I know this is it, and I know I will die. Before I hit the ground I hear the mono-toned voice of the suited man say in my head: “Do not (static & white noise) no matter what.”
I woke up in my bed with a cold sweat and a panic, I freaked the fuck out and ran downstairs to find my parents cooking dinner. I run back upstairs and see the time is 6:22pm. I was relieved find out it was a dream. BUT, it gets creepy. I go back down stairs and ask my parents when they got home. They told me they’ve been home as it was their day off. I asked how their company event went and they said it was last week. I asked them what time I feel asleep. They told me, they didn’t know I was sleeping. I go to my computer and find that my WoW account was logged in and where I left off before the internet went down. I check my computer for the date date, and It was the 23th. I have literally no memory of a full week. I try to recall what had happened in my dream, it was a a blur. I go back upstairs and see that it looked like someone went through my closet. I search around and FREAK THE FUCK OUT. The exact same Geiger-Counter the alleged FBI agent was holding was in my closet. I have never told anyone about this till now. I still have the Geiger-Counter and dont know what to do with it. I can post a pic of it if someone wants but, I dont really want to, for my own protection. I will though as I know this sounds crazy.
I’ve since spent the last decade trying to put the pieces together. I just live day by day as an ordinary person, hoping they don’t return.
72. This may have just been a very vivid childhood dream, but whenever I think about it, it never feels like it. It has to be, though…
Anyway, my mom was a single mom who worked an overnight shift when I was young. Despite this being totally illegal, she used to let me stay home by myself overnight in our apartment.
One night, I remember seeing this being in my bedroom. I cowered under my comforter as I watched the being draw glowing lines along the wall near my door. I asked the being what it meant and in my head it told me that I would eventually understand some day.
This was before I’d ever seen any movies/tv shows with aliens in it. You know the grey ones with the big eyes. I don’t think this one was grey though. I kind of remember it being like a sickly greenish white, but it did have big eyes.
73. Last halloween me and my friends were on a dock about to light off some fireworks. We had all just arrived and were still just shooting the shit to see if anyone else would show up. Myself and my buddy were looking up at the stars when right above a hill behind our town we seen a light and it looked really odd. It was sort of blueish grey in color, but what was interesting was it had a metallic rainbow colored halo around it in the shape of a magnetic field (like how you see the magnetic field of the earth) it was just hovering there at first, but then it slowly moved in a sort of wavy motion from east to west and then when it got to the edge of the hill it hovered for a minute longer and then shot straight up into the sky. It wasn’t very high in the sky maybe 1000-2000ft in the air. I will never forget the color of that magnetic rainbow force field looking thing.
74. Never thought I’d be someone to have a missing time story but it happened. December 29th 2001 we left my house at 6pm. We rode our bikes to the woods down the block and hung out there for a bit. My friend was crushing the iced lake with a fence pole we found and suddenly I heard foot steps behind me. I got up and ran to my friends and the lake was frozen back over. We checked the time, it was 8:15. We then saw the most amazing shooting star horizon to horizon above us, we even heard it. We hid in the woods and saw a star slowly move across the sky. Normally I would say it’s a satellite but it moved a few inches in the sky and then stopped. There’s no way over 2hrs went by. The woods are just a few blocks away.
75. This event occurred in 2011 and has haunted me everyday since. I work in networking and all of ours are late. I usually get off around 2am and then I am up for a few hours before I go to bed. This evening I got off work and it was raining really bad on my way home. When I got home, by chance, the clouds broke and I stepped outside to have a quick smoke. One of my buddies called me and we were chatting about work. It was still not raining and there were low lying clouds. There are orange street lights in Allen and they were reflecting off the bottom of the clouds creating an artificial light. There was a pretty good breeze whipping around, but no rain. I was facing the west and I look to my right and I see a black cube moving out of the north and traveling south at about 60-80mph. It was moving with a corner forward. This thing was huge. I was astonished to the core of my soul. I sat speechless for a few seconds knowing that I was seeing something amazing. It was 80-100ft tall. It was a black cube in shape and looked like a rough stone surface. On the side of the cube was a border and within the border was a circular symbol, if that’s what it even was. It looked like if you were to draw a circular maze. It was disturbing the air behind it and created a vaporous trail spinning behind it and then disappearing. There was absolutely no sound. None. If you know Dallas, it was traveling in the direction of southbound 75Central Expressway towards downtown. I told my buddy what I had seen and he lives a few miles south. I fumbled over my words telling him and asked him to go outside to see if he could see it. He went out to the middle of his street and looked in the direction that it was coming from. After about 5 minutes it started to rain again. He stood out in the rain for another 15 minutes but never saw it. Good friend.. Anyways, no one can ever tell me that I didn’t see what I saw that night. I have been ridiculed and laughed at, but I know what I saw. It is almost a relief at this point to know that they are really here. I have been a long time lurker and I had to get this off of my chest. I have been searching “black cube ufo” for years now, every single day. I cannot stop thinking about it. I have to see it again. Thanks for listening.
76. This happened a while ago, I was probably around 14 when I saw it. I lived at my old house at the time in a very spaced out neighborhood in Texas, it’s was about 10pm and my dad and sister were out side for some reason in the back yard and I was inside watching tv, my sister comes running in and tells me to come out and see this. In the sky was this massive circular disk probably about 75 feet in circumference and about 150 feet in the air right above our backyard with circular lights all around it (it’s your typical ufo that you’d think of). Anyways, I ran inside to get my dads camera and came back out and it started moving slowly Into the front yard so we ran through the house into the front, which probably took us 3 seconds. When we got into the front it was gone, no where in the distance or anything, my whole family saw it and we have no idea what it was.
77. When I was about 12 my family bought a fishing cabin by a small river about 70 miles from our home. On our first visit to stay in this cabin it was kind of a work vacation, meaning we were painting and fixing and stuff as well as fishing. One of the people who lived near this cabin came over to say hi and introduce herself. During the course of her visit she told us: “Don’t be afraid of the purple glowing mist you will see. It’s just from the U.F.O.’s and it won’t hurt you.” All of us kids snickered at this while elbowing each other so my mom chased us off and apologized to the woman. She later yelled at us for being rude.
Two nights later we were out night fishing with our dad. The stars were amazing looking without the city’s light polution and we were all pointing at different constellations and challenging each other to name them. My youngest brother pointed to a perfect circle of about 7 bright stars and asked: “What are those called?” We all kind of froze and stared because, well, there is no such constellation, yet here it was. While we were looking at it all the ‘stars’ took off silently in different directions and vanished over all the surrounding horizons.
We ran. Looking back it was stupid to run… I mean the things were already gone. But we were spooked and we ran as fast as we could back to the cabin where mom was sleeping. About half the way there our dad overtook us and ran straight into the cabin ahead of us, slamming the door. When we got in the cabin he told us: “Just shut up and go to bed.” He sounded angry so we did just that. The next morning at breakfast when we tried to talk about it dad angrily said that ‘he didn’t remember any of that and to stop with the stupid stories’. My sister asked: “Why did you run then?” He said that he was ‘tired’ and wanted to get to bed was all.
He was ‘tired’ so he ran? My dad could be a real goober sometimes. This wasn’t the only time we ‘saw things’ in the sky while staying there, but it was the most interesting. We tried on a few occasions to get pictures, but it was the early 60’s and camera’s sucked half the time back then. At least the cheap kid-cameras we had did. We were afraid ask to use dad’s good camera for that. We only had that cabin for a few years when my dad suddenly sold it. We never could get him to talk about that night…he would firmly deny it every time we tried. Never did see the ‘purple glowing mist’ though we looked for it.
78. Once, I was trying to sleep but suddenly felt thirsty so I turned around to reach for a bottle of water on my dressing table. Turning this way gave me a direct view towards the doorway, where I think I saw a stereotypical grey alien.
It was staring at me, illuminated by the hallway light that sneaked in through a gap between the door and the doorframe. Since the ‘encounter’ lasted barely a second, I didn’t get a good look at it, but it resembled a stereotypical grey alien: big eyes, no visible nose, ect. I think it was also smaller than I was at the time, and I was 10 years old.
After that, I dove under my blankets, and fell asleep after a while.
79. Let me preface this by stating that almost all of the encounters that I have witnessed have been with at least one other individual. The first two encounters happened on two consecutive days in 1997, and the numerous other encounters happened over the span of 90 days a year and a half ago. I do not recall being abducted. I have filed reports with the incredibly incompetent MUFON.
Back in ’97 my buddy and I had just finished up our shift at a pizza joint. It was after 11 pm. We were wore out and wanted to get stoned. We were completely sober. Anyway, we drove out into a cornfield in the off year, so it was full of rye. We were about a half mile off the road, it was pitch black, and because of our vantage point, I could see headlights in any direction for a good mile. We were way out in the country, so no worries. My buddy starts breaking up the weed when I notice what I believe to be truck headlights shine directly from behind, take a hard left, and disappear. My buddy didn’t seem to notice, but I became frantic. I thought it was the cops. My friend thinks I am messing with him and continues breaking up some really terrible brick weed. I recall looking at the stars, and one star in particular grabbed my attention. I can’t tell you why, but it looked like your average star. Within thirty seconds this “star” starts moving up and down, side to side, and in circles. I yelled in a panic, “what the fuck is THAT?” My buddy gives a dismissive sigh, and then he looks where I am pointing. For five minutes the UFO continues to move in very fluid movements, making impossible maneuvers, and do so in complete silence. Without notice, this one object becomes five equally impressive star like objects. They stayed close together. At times they moved in some kind of formation, and other times they seemed to move independently. Just as quick as the five came, they fused back together as one. We were in shock, but we didn’t feel like we were in harms way. We were recapping what we witnessed, but that single UFO was still there. It wasn’t moving too much. We thought things were coming to a close, but we were wrong. This time the one object turned in to at least seven objects. The way they moved and jerked around felt aggressive to me. My friend must have felt the same way, because he said he was starting to get nervous. I told him we should go. I embarrassingly confessed that I “knew” it was there for us, and I became fearful. We haul ass out of there, and this thing follows us to the outskirt of town.
The stories actually get far more interesting and do include ETs and different types of UFOs. I’ll keep going if anyone is interested.
80. I have one. I don’t know where I stand on the whole ET/UFO controversy, but I can vividly recall an experience from my childhood that I’ve never forgotten and can’t explain. I was maybe 10 or 11 years old. I distinctly remember it because it caused in me a sense of terror more pure than any I had or have felt since.
My parents’ house is out in the country and my old bedroom is on the second floor, with two windows facing north and west respectively. My bed was up against the west wall just beneath the window. My dog Henry was sleeping with me that night.
I woke up to the sound of Henry barking and found my room bathed in light from the window above my bed. I can vividly recall Henry silhouetted, staring into the light, barking her brains out. I jerked up and looked out, but there was only light. A crackly, humming, droning sound filled the air. I was disoriented and terrified – both for myself and for my dog – but all I could do was pull my blankets over my head and curl into a ball. I was sure Henry was going to die. I remember feeling sorry that I was too frightened to help. In my head the clear thought “I don’t want to die” repeated over and over, and I was aware that it was the first time in my life that I had ever really not wanted to die – like, it was the first time I’d ever genuinely felt that I was going to die.
The experience ends there. I woke up the next morning with Henry in my bed. I immediately went to my parents’ room and woke them up to ask if they’d seen the light or heard Henry barking, but they hadn’t. I wondered if I’d dreamt it, but I’d never had a dream so visceral before. All the fear I’d experienced up till that point became a lower classification: now there was “fear,” and there was “real fear.”
When I first heard about sleep paralysis, my mind immediately went to that night. It had some of the same characteristics – the terror, the vividness, the weird noise – but I wasn’t paralyzed. I moved twice: once when I sat up and peeked into the light and again when I pulled my blankets over my head and hid.
81. I was driving East down a highway in central PA, it was 1996-97. It was around 11:30 so not much traffic. I noticed something off to my left in the sky. There were 5 orange balls of light flying in a sort of diamond formation at maybe 5000 ft. (this is my best guess) It looked so weird I pulled over. They didn’t appear to be going real fast but you could tell they were moving.
Suddenly they broke formation and started to Zig-Zag all over the sky. After about 10 seconds of this they shot straight up in the sky and were gone in an instant. Dumbfounded, I looked around for a minute and saw a guy standing across the road next to his car looking up at the sky. I called out to him saying “did you see that?” “What do you think” he said. “Probably thinking the same as you” I said. “Well that was cool” he said, and got into his car and left.
Not sure what it was but I know I wasn’t the only one who saw it that night.
82. I’ve got a relatively tame missing journey one, One night about 10 years ago me and a friend were hanging out with another friend who lived in a nearby village (hour + walk), because we knew the route was dangerous at night we deliberately didn’t have anything to drink, so we watched rocky and ate junk food and all the other things teenagers do when they aren’t drinking and doing drugs and left the house at 1am.
We walked and chatted making our way home until we get to the awkward field we have to cross to get back to our town (about half way), its dark and muddy so we stop talking as much and pay more attention to the floor, in no time at all we come to the other end of the field and are pretty much home, so we check the time.
01:25. We’d just done an hour walk in 25 minutes, I can’t run that distance in 25 minutes. we’d both checked the time when we left our friends house and both checked it when we got off the field and it was the middle of august so it wasn’t daylight savings.
That’s the closest I’ve got, we still occasionally mention it when we see each other.
83. I have never told anyone about this but since you guys are sharing.
I was about 6 years old and my father and I were separated from each other as we were roaming around the Page museum in Los Angeles. I entered a back room where 3 blond haired people were all sitting at a table facing me. They were really tall and wore very fitted clothes. They asked me if I wanted to come back to their planet with them or stay with my current family.
I thought about it and I decided to stay on earth. I then left the room to look for my father. I sometimes wonder what would have happened if I chose leaving earth.
84. I’ve never seen a UFO, but I’ve experienced what most people call “Greys”. For the entirety of my 34 years. They, or perhaps a small group of them, have been “interested” in me for reasons beyond my comprehension. I can’t say for certain if what I’ve experienced is real but the fact that the fear is so strong makes it … very hard to ignore. They show up. They look. And they look so deep into you the fear and helplessness is like nothing you will ever experience in waking life. The very life within you shrinks and shakes and they keep looking. Sometimes inches from your face. It’s. It is pure fear. And when you wake it is like you have been born again. Sure. It could be night terrors. But night terrors don’t leave doors open, TVs on, and your pets terrified under furniture.
85. Friend and I on the porch at the back of a house we rented. He says “holy shit” and I look over and he’s looking at the sky. I look up to the area he’s looking at and we see two extremely bright lights, not moving in the sky. One was directly above the other. I quickly glanced over to where the north star is (cause I like looking at the night sky anyway and new where it was that time of night) to compare brightness. These lights were way brighter. They stayed still for maybe 20-30 seconds where they were, then suddenly, the top one shot off up, and diagonal right from where it was at an insane speed. It was a streak across the sky. The second one that was underneath just slowly faded away afterward.

87. My dad was downstairs while I was upstairs until I heard him calling my name “Come here quick!” So I go rushing downstairs to see this huge orange ball in the sky hovering north of our house. My dad tried to get a video of it but nothing came out. It was stationary for about 3 minutes until it darted diagonally and then straight up to where I could not see it. I went back inside and our tv remote was broken and our cable box was resetting even though they were on and working before this happened.
88. When I was deployed to Afghanistan, one of my frequent tasks was to help the guy flying the Raven (small UAV with an IR camera on it) at night, looking for insurgents planting bombs in the roads. Usually pretty boring. One night however, we noticed a circular hot spot in the corner of the camera’s view. After flying around a bit to get a better view, me and the operator were wondering what in the hell this featureless hot sphere was. In white/cold black/hot, this thing was solid, darkest black, and was unmoving for about 5 minutes. After which it rapidly moved down, nearly to the ground (we were flying at about 1600 ft AGL) then back up into the sky and out of range of the Raven.
We called up the TOC about this UFO, they said it must have been a glitch, they had nothing on satellite view in that area. When we went back to review the footage (kept on a specialized toughbook laptop), the 5 minutes with the UFO in it were missing.
89. Mine happened in the early 2000s. I was around 16. Me, my brother, my friend and friends father were catfishing on Lake Okeechobee in FL.
The father had a large pontoon house boat so we stayed out there all night. Anyways the father had went to bed and at about 2am I decided I was going to bed. I laid down for about 5 minutes when my brother and friend came into the cabin and told me to wake up. I wasn’t asleep yet so I just got up. We walk out on deck and they both just point out west in the sky. There was this orangish/blue ball kinda floating but moving side to side a bit. We just stared at it for a few minutes. As we kept watching it would change color. It changed from orange, to blueish to greenish and back. There was no pattern. It also moved different directions. Finally after a few minutes it just hauled ass and was gone.
We weren’t drinking or doing drugs but we all saw it. Kind of freaked us out but it was pretty cool. I have no idea what it was but it was very strange. It wasn’t a helicopter or plane I do know that.
90. It was 4 years ago, My cousin and I came out of the woods after deer hunting about 45 mins before dusk. My uncle was also coming out of the woods at the same time. We met at his truck and just stood around talking for awhile. My cousin saw it first, there were 2 sets of 5 light each hovering above the tree line about 1/2 mile away. One set would stay still as the other would go down behind the trees. When it was at its lowest you could hear a loud noise, one I cant really describe. After the noise the craft would return to the height the other craft was hovering. Craft 2 would then drop down and do the same thing. this went on for a good half an hour. All of us were just stunned by what we were seeing. The weirdest part was above the crafts high in the sky (about the level or higher than planes fly) was a ring of lights, almost like planes circling an airport. Eventually the crafts just took off at an angle away from us and were gone and the lights high in the sky were gone as well. We stopped talking about it because no one believed us.
91. This happened decades ago in the desert on a lonely stretch of road in the middle of the night in California.
My mother and I went for a drive with another little boy (I don’t remember anything about him now) just to pass some time. At some point the cars interior filled with a red glow and within seconds we realized the light was coming from behind us. I turned around saw two or three red lights maybe a car-length behind us. My mom was acting anxious and said she was going to pull over at the bend coming up.
Now about this road; there was an empty highway about a 1/2 mile behind us and the bend led to a small community. There were no paved roads to turn onto between the highway and the bend. Wherever this mystery car/vehicle came from, it either came up really fast from the highway or was hidden in the darkness on the side of the road when we drove by.
My mom pulls over at the bend to let the car/vehicle pass but it doesn’t. We watch the road continue on and see nothing, we look behind us and see nothing. We stare at each other, a little freaked out, and decide to head back home. My mom’s boyfriend at the time seems surprised, “You guys were gone for almost three hours. I was starting to get worried!” This was an ‘adventure’ that maybe took 30 minutes. That was it.
92. I had a year long experience of strange events that I’ve never been able to explain or have a full memory of.
It started in winter working up north on a project. Our crew was put up in a motel 10 minutes outside of the largest town in the area. I somehow got upgraded to a king size bed with couches, nice room. Our days were long so I used the couches to stack my clothes in piles(Jeans, hoodies, etc).
I had brought my entire desktop computer with me and was in the middle of a massive argument with my ex over Facebook messenger at 1am during the 2nd week up there. At some point I opened my eyes and I was sitting on top of a pile of hoodies on the couch. The time was now 4am.
I rushed over to the computer. At some point after 1am I had stopped typing a sentence midway through. My ex had left a ton of messages throughout the night demanding I answer her back. She also left missed calls and texts on my phone that was still sitting beside the mouse. I figured I had somehow passed out but wasn’t sure how I ended up on top of my hoodies on the couch and not just fall into bed. Went to sleep normally for the remaining couple hours before work.
A couple of days later a stranger scenario happened. My routine was we’d finish work, I’d come back to the motel around 9pm, shower, change, and drive into town for late night dinner at Boston Pizza(only restaurant open late other than McDonalds). So this particular night I went through my routine, took a shower, changed, headed for the door. I got to my car and when I turned it on something felt really wrong.
I looked at the time, it was now 2am. I had no idea how I had lost around 4 hours between showering and getting into my car. It felt weird. My whole body felt weird. I felt violated, like a rape victim would describe waking up from being assaulted while passed out. You feel violated but you have no idea what happened. Not a single memory or explanation. I stayed up all night scared shitless trying to figure out what happened. Why was I missing 4 hours, if I had passed out why didn’t I wake up on the floor, why did I feel violated, etc.
The rest of the project nothing else happened, but once I got back home things started happening that were just as weird. There’s more to my experiences if people want to know(it only lasted for about a year), but those two events were the starting catalysts.
I’ve never actually figured out what happened but most people I’ve asked all seem to agree it had to be abduction events.
93. Was camping in a campground in North ga with some friends. It was starting to Down pour so everyone left their tents in the woods and decided to rent one of the on site cabins for everyone to sleep in. I decided I’d just sleep in my car because they wanted to stay up late and I was tired from kayaking all day.
I woke up to the rain stopping and it was kind of cold in the car and I had forgotten my sleeping bag in my tent. I checked the cabin to see if there was any room left and the light was on and everyone was fast asleep (3am). I didn’t want to squeeze in so I decided to trek my way to my tent in the dark with a small pen light. In order to get to my tent I had to pass by everyone’s that they left. Mine was the last one and even then was 50 ft at least from the previous tent before it.
I got in my tent, covered up with my sleeping bag and prepared to catch the last few hours of sleep before sun rise. No more than 10-15 min from me getting in my tent I began to hear light whispers right out side the tent door. They weren’t in English and to my recollection indecipherable ( not any language I had heard at all) . Just as the voices started, two orbs appeared together outside the tent. They weren’t the same glare as a flashlight would make and both were of two different colors that to the best of my ability had no real distinct color. Just colorful.
The whispers outside the tent began arguing louder between each other, but still in a hush tone. And as the whispers grew louder, the lights began swirling around the tent. Behind me, to the side to the front. Not in the movement that one could make with flashlights and at this point I realized no footsteps could be heard.
I uncovered myself and knealt on the tent floor preparing for the zipper to come undone like in a horror movie and I was flipping through my mind on What option to take. I was the most terrified I had ever been. Fight or flight.
The lights swirled faster and the voices grew louder but still breathy and whispery. My mind raced and I was sweating despite the cold. And then, just like that the lights shut off like switch and the whispers stopped and nothing but silence of an empty wood.
I stood there as still as I could and I didn’t dare go outside that tent til the sun came up. It was and still is the scariest moment of my life. I hope this makes sense. I’ve never written it out before. If I need to answer anything I can try in between moments at work. Interesting enough I went to a horror movie premiere recently and there was a scene that had the voices in it and goosebumps ran up my arm. It was identical.
94.Oh boy. Here we go. This is going to be long and very hard to explain, and to clarify, I didn’t think I was abducted, but my friend did.
So I was about fifteen. Every night, a guy I’ll call Jay and I would sneak out at about midnight and go back home around four to five in the morning, before our parents would wake up for work.
On one particular night, we had just snuck out and it was about 1am. We headed to my backyard, laid on the trampoline, and stared at the stars and talked, like we always did.
Now, if you’re in a room right now, and you look around, you’ll see the definite four corners where your ceiling and walls meet. You can see how.. square? they turn. Edge of wall, sharp turn, second wall, same with your ceiling. You can see each individual flat surface.
The sky did that. It went from staring at the stars to looking like a cube of sky. From the southeast corner of the sky came this giant UFO. I mean huge. As if it took up a quarter of the entire sky. We both stared at it in dead silence. It didn’t make any noise, even as it moved. And while it “spun,” it was only hovering straight. The spinning didn’t move it like you imagine a frisbee doing. The sides just turned while it moved.
I guess what it looked like doesn’t matter. But Jay and I had our eyes deadset on it. We didn’t say a word. We didn’t point to show the other person. As it began coming toward us, we both flipped over.
Again, no hints, no talking, no eye contact. In total sync, we flipped onto our stomachs and stayed as flat and quiet as we could. Now ducking from something sounds totally normal, and instinct, but that’s not what this was. It was literally almost like telepathy. I can remember us having a mental conversation of “Stay flat and it won’t see us. Don’t. Move.”
We watch it make a weird, angled “C,” shape across the sky. And although it felt totally in slow motion, it could have only been a few minutes because I think both of us held our breath the entire time.
Now for the weirdest part, as soon as it was out of sight, boom, daybreak. We had literally just gotten to the yard, and I know it was 1:15am, because I checked. But the minute we felt “released,” from laying flat, it was very bright. Like 7:30/8:00am bright. I don’t remember talking to him at all afterwards, other than making eye contact, and then making a break for our homes before our parents noticed we weren’t there.
A few weeks, even months maybe, I’m talking to my brothers girlfriend about what happened. Apparently she’s real into that shit, but also completely terrified. She said the fact that it felt like a few minutes but then it was suddenly six/seven hours later truly, 100% makes her think we were abducted. She was serious.
I made a joke about how I should go to hypnotherapy to “unblock the memories,” and she deadpans, and says “Don’t. People who were abducted are traumatized by what happened to them. They even get PTSD.”
The next day she texted me about how she couldn’t sleep. I think abduction is a little bit of a stretch, and she watched too many Discovery Channel documentaries, but.. the weird loss of time still irks me. I do know what we saw was 100% real. Aliens? I dunno. Abduction? I dunno.
95. I was home alone in this little house I lived in in the middle of nowhere. It was probably around 2 AM and I was just listening to music enjoying having the place to myself for a change, when all of a sudden my dogs started going CRAZY. Normally, when someone pulls in the driveway or comes up to the backdoor, they go to the door they heard the noise beyond and peek through the blinds to see who it is, but this night they are running all around the house from door to door barking louder than they ever do.
When I stood up to go see what the hell they were on about, I noticed that the whole house seemed to be lit up with a deep blue light. Turning into the living room, it became obvious that it was emanating in from each window. I put on my shoes to go outside and see who was out there, but by the time I got out there the light had faded away. There was no sound of a car engine or really anything, and where I lived you could hear a car coming from a mile away.
I felt a chill run down my spine but I had the weirdest sense of fight or flight where neither option seemed viable, like I was frozen to the spot. I wanted to turn around and get back inside, and then…I just was. Right back in the chair I was listening to music in. As if I just blinked and there I was.
Don’t really like telling people about it because it skeeves me out so bad.
96. About 20 years ago I was walking home from the shops with my dad and we stopped to watch some really odd lights in the sky.
There were 2 lights, slightly bigger than the stars zooming around and orbiting each other, making figure-8s etc. And then they stopped moving, got bigger and bigger until bright light filled the sky and then they were gone, we carried on our journey home. We hadn’t stopped for more than 5 mins. The whole journey should have been 20 mins.
When we got home, my mum was freaking out, we had been gone for 65 mins, our watches were both still working but were 45 mins behind every clock in the house. She had neighbors/friends bout looking for us. I don’t know what happened to us or what we saw, maybe nothing.
97. So, full disclosure, I don’t know if I was abducted. I don’t honestly believe that I was abducted. I just know that if what I had was a nightmare, it was such a nightmare that I still remember it to this day in nearly full clarity.
I was about 4 or 5 years old and my father was working nightshift. My mother was watching football in our living room and I went to sleep on some chairs near the entertainment center; I don’t recall how or why, just that I conked out in that spot. I “woke up” (quotes because I don’t actually know if I was awake or dreaming) some undetermined time later. The lights were still on, but the TV was off and the house was unnaturally quiet, like the sound was getting sucked up. I looked at the TV first, then turned my head left and saw my mother floating about a foot off the ground with her eyes glowing orange and her mouth hanging open.
Naturally, I panicked. I didn’t know where I was going or what I planned to do, just that I had to get out of that room. So I bolted for the hallway that lead to the bedrooms and found myself unable to move. Something walked out of my bedroom in the back. It couldn’t have been much bigger than me as a child, but I remember it was brown and leathery-looking with arms that were too long for a human. The eyes were red and flashed like bike reflectors. I didn’t even know what E.T. was much less seen the movie at this point in my life, for the record (needless to say, after this being burned into my memory, I did not find the movie endearing).
I couldn’t move. I couldn’t even scream even though I was trying. All I could do was stand there while the thing hesitated at the end of the hallway. Then it screamed like a bird with something stuck in its throat and waddle-ran straight for me. I woke up on the chairs again screaming and crying until I couldn’t anymore from exhaustion. My mother didn’t/doesn’t remember any of it.
After that I was pretty well spooked by any feasible account of alien abduction or UFOs in general. Several episodes of feeling like I was getting jerked leg-first out of my bed all the way into my teenage years. Thankfully, nothing like what I remembered from before though.
98.About a year ago I was chatting with a friend about creepy, seemingly supernatural experiences we had had as children. I chalked mine up to over active imagination, and just seeing things that weren’t there. As I went into detail, her eyes kept getting wide, and she started pulling things up on her phone about aliens. After she showed me some drawing, and other things, I admitted to her that I’m absolutely terrified of aliens. I’m going to tell y’all these stories of mine, and I would genuinely appreciate feedback. Was she just fucking with me? Or do these sound like alien encounters to anyone else?
Between the ages of 5 and 10, I lost time a lot. One of the more notable times that I clearly remember being confused, was when I was laying on the floor watching tv. It was about 6pm, and I looked out the window. It was still bright outside, and then I blinked. When I opened my eyes again it was 3am, the tv was off and I was sitting on the sofa. That sort of thing happened a lot for a few years.
Then there were the things I would see. I never had curtains or blinds on my bedroom windows. I was also, absolutely terrified of Windows and I still am. Most nights, before falling asleep, I would see head shapes outside. Not peaking up from the bottom of the window, but either from the side, or looking in from the top of the window, like it was upside down with a cocked head looking in. I had a second floor bedroom, so I thought it was impossible for something to be looking in, so I would just cover my head and try to sleep. Most of the time I ended up sneaking into my parents or my brothers bedroom at night because of it, but, I would see the shapes in their windows as well. But at least I felt safer because I wasn’t alone.
Then, when I was closer to 10, I basically slept in my brothers room every night. We had moved into a new house, and his room was in the basement. It wasn’t really a room, but it had one wall, then a big, open side that was separated from the rest of the basement with a long curtain. I had pretty bad insomnia by that point, and I didn’t typically fall asleep until 3-4 in the morning. I was laying on the floor in my sleeping bag, watching Harvy birdman, and the curtain started to move. I looked over to see a hand, reaching through the bottom of the curtain. It was somewhat skeletal looking, with long fingers, and very pronounced bone structure. The wrist it was attached to was also very thin, and had no hair. I sat up and screamed, and when I did the hand froze, and then quickly went back under the curtain. I then heard something running up the stairs, but I didn’t hear a door open or close. I curled up on the foot of my brothers bed, and stayed awake until morning.
That was the last thing I remember happening. I still lost time off and on until I was about 16. Aliens FREAK me out, always have, always will. I can’t watch alien movies, or read stories, without getting extremely uncomfortable. I’ve never done my own research, and I avoid anything about the subject if I can. But I am truly curious if anyone else thinks the same thing my friend does.
99. I live in a pretty secluded part of Washington state. I was in my late teens and my parents had gone to Seattle for something, so I was put in charge of everything. I was closing everything up (i.e. the barn we own and some other small utility buildings) when I look up and see three reddish-orange lights in a triangular formation. They were just floating there, as if they were magnified stars. So magnified, in fact, that everything was slightly illuminated by their warm hue. I’m mesmerized, standing there, and suddenly lose my sense of balance, as if the ground in front of me has begun rising, and I pass out. Next thing I know I’m on the ground in the barn I had locked up (according to my watch) half an hour before. Needless to say, I was petrified. I scurried to the house with my tail between my legs scared and confused. I slept not at all that night and any sense of security I had was gone. Even though I was locked safely in my house, I felt hopelessly exposed.
In hindsight, I think it’s possible I was light-headed, opened the barn door and fell down, but it still shakes me up thinking about it.
100. I was living out in the boonies with my mom, I was 15 years old. I had been talking with this girl on and off for weeks and I was on the phone with her, it was just before dark when this chick was telling me that if I come over to her house she will sneak outside to hang out with me as soon as her parents go to bed. Luckily she only lived like 2 miles away and I had a bike. Horny teenage me didn’t take long to decide right then and there I was gonna make that trip. Luckily my mom always went to bed super early as well.
She texts me sometime after 10pm that her parents went to bed. It’s on. I leave for her house.
As I’m riding my bike down these dark country roads I see almost exactly what you described you saw. Orange glowy lights in a triangular formation. They were just hanging there still. I stopped for a second to get a better look because there were some trees obstructing my view and they started looking bigger the more I looked at them. I started to feel this really weird sensation that I can only describe as similar to vertigo. I completely black out.
I wake up and I’m still on the side of the road but not where I was before. I got super confused and couldn’t quite figure out where I was for a minute. I pull out my phone to look at the time. It’s dead. My bike is nowhere to be found. I start heading down the road in what I thought was the direction I came and suddenly realized where I was. I was in the opposite direction of my house from where I started. Like, I was on the same road, just on the other end of it. I turn around when I realize this and run home. I get home and plug in my phone. It’s like 2am and I have a bunch of missed calls and texts from that chick asking where I’m at. I go to bed and sleep like shit the rest of the night.
The next day I call that girl and I tell her what happened. She sounds skeptical. I ask her what time she called me the first time last night after I left. She said she called me at around 11:00 and it wouldn’t go through. I left sometime after 10.. I know my phone was at nearly full battery because it was on the charger before I left the house. I do find my bike later that day in the same place I remember stopping. It was just laying there on the side of the road. I remember having really crazy dreams and a bad headache for a couple weeks after this happened. You know, after the first couple weeks I never really had dreams much anymore. Still don’t. Not sure if it’s related at all though.
I can’t say for sure it was aliens or abduction or whatever but I’ll be honest. I’m not normally an anxious guy, but being outside alone at night has creeped me the fuck out ever since. Staring into the night sky gives me anxiety when I’m by myself now. Fuck everything about that night. I’m not even sure I want to know what happened.
101. Not entirely sure if we were abducted, but my wife (who was a non believer) and I both have missing time. We were having sex on our bed when we suddenly both came to, and were in totally different places in the room. Not sure how much time had past, but she looked at me and said “what the fuck just happened?” I said I wasn’t sure. Neither of us were scared, and we were both incredibly tired. We decided we would just go to bed and talk about it in the morning.
I looked up instances of missing time and a lot of them said the same thing. When they came to they were just very tired, knew something was totally weird, but just wanted to go to sleep.
102. I was home along one evening and had gone to sleep for the night. I live with my SO and two indoor cats but she was out of state traveling for business. I woke up in the middle of the night (wasn’t sure of time but it was completely dark) because my body was freezing cold. I actually like it cool when I sleep and usually have the temperature around 70 degrees or colder since I live in central Texas. But this was different, I was ice cold but wrapped in blankets (it was middle of summer so evenings aren’t cold). When I grabbed my phone to look at the time, it seemed to be off and I pressed the ON button but it didn’t turn it on. Since I was half-asleep, I shrugged this off. I walked out of my bedroom to go adjust the thermostat and noticed that the cats weren’t around. This was weird because these furballs are always hanging out in the bed or around the bed. Anyhow, I walked to the thermostat and tried to adjust it but the power to the thermostat (I have a Nest) was nil and the power to the house seemed to be off. I peeked out of the upstairs window to see if any of my neighbors were having power-issues and notice that all of their outdoor lights were working just fine. From the time I woke to this moment was probably 1-2 minutes maximum. I decide to wander downstairs to grab some water but am startled when I realize there is a glow of light coming from the first floor. The way my house is situated, I couldn’t see the light until I had approached the stairs. I found this odd because the power seemed to be out just upstairs (which didn’t make a lot of sense). I started walking down the stairs and began to hear a faint humming noise. The noise had a high pitch to it with arbitrary pulses of low sounds; almost like a muffled weedwacker that someone is throttling at random. As I continue to walk down the stairs, I spot a dark, slowly-moving figure in the room with light at the bottom of the stairs. The next step that I take feels like I walked off the side of a cliff or was sucked into the floor. That is really the best way I can explain it because I don’t remember what happened after that moment, I just lost all feeling from my body. My next memory is waking up again to the sound of my phone’s alarm. Everything seemed back to normal. I sat there in bed (cats back to being lazy in bed next to me) and tried to think about the 2 minute incident that happened in the middle of the night. I am not a sleepwalker and I was definitely not dreaming.
My security system’s app shows the time whenever a door is opened or closed. I realized that my security system was disarmed on the app and that the front door had been opened and closed several times throughout the night. I pulled up my security footage from the exterior cameras and was surprised to learn that there was ZERO footage from the night. Like the motion sensors reacted to a random car driving-by around 10pm and then the next thing is another random car in the morning. So someone/something walked in and out of my front door but the cameras did not capture any footage. My neighbor across the street has a good security system that points at my house so I asked if he can review the footage from his cameras. I told him some made-up story about how I thought someone had broken into my truck. Anyway, he said it was weird because when he pulled up the footage from that night, his cameras did not record anything. Just a time gap once again.
My first thought was that I was sleepwalking and that the memory was a dream but it just couldn’t have been. When I looked out of the window in the middle of the night, I distinctly recall a red pickup truck parked the wrong direction in front of the neighbor’s house. I always notice when cars are parked left-wheel to curb because I’ve gotten a ticket for this in the past. Anyhow, the truck was not there before I went to sleep (based on footage) but was there in the morning (based on footage). So the truck was there when I saw it in the middle of the night. I definitely woke up in the middle of the night, cold as ice, no cats, no working phone or thermostat, saw the truck out of the window and then got warped by something on the stairs.
A couple additional things were different in the house. The security system was disarmed and I definitely armed it before going to bed. The light was still on downstairs and that was absolutely off before I went to bed. My whole body smelled like burnt marshmallows. I know this is weird but it’s really how it smelled. And lastly, my 55 gallon fish tank that sits at the bottom of the stairs in the entryway was missing 2/3 of the water! Seriously, where the fuck did 40+ gallons of water go? The whole area around the tank was bone-dry and the fish were fine. I think I was mind-fucked by some thirsty aliens…
103. I’m not sure if I’d say I was “abducted” but what happened was really weird.
Was laying on my couch with a blanket over me and I look at the clock and it says like 11:23 AM or something. Suddenly a white flash happens and it’s 12:40 PM. It happens again three more times and by the time I could comprehend what was going on it was like 5:30 PM. Every time it would happen there would be like 15 minutes of confusion and trying to move. I was stuck in a dreamlike state until it stopped happening.
104. I was first “abducted” in 1987. I was 12 years old. I say “abducted”, but it’s not like that. Actually, you go willingly. It’s scary but it’s exciting, too, and they are somehow able to make you feel ok about things. It’s not until later that you feel bad or like you’ve been violated. And they don’t do a lot of probing, like raping, or anything like that. That’s Hollywood nonsense. They look inside of people sometimes, but they have machines that do it. Not really “machines”, but it’s like a room where things get done and the walls are…It’s hard to explain, so just imagine that all the walls are kind of like x-ray machines? That’s the easiest way to describe it.
Sometimes there would be others there and they would be looking into them or they’d put them under and cut them open, but not usually. They took tissue samples from all of us, I think, and they never put your under or give you any anesthetic or anything. They just poke you. With like those things they take samples of the ocean floor? Like that, but really small. They pull out chunks of you. It’s usually done on the butt or on the lower back.
Mostly they talked with me. Just questions and they’d show me things, like television shows and things, and they’d ask me questions about them. I think the walls measure our reaction to things, too, same as they take x-rays. I don’t know that, but it’s the feeling that I got. They NEVER let you ask questions about what they are doing. Even once I got friendly with a few of them, they just do not like it when you ask them questions. They hate it.
You can’t understand their language. It just sounds like “hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm”. I’m positive that we’ll never be able to communicate with them in their language. I should mention that these are the “grays” that you hear about, except they aren’t gray. They are sort of beige, and it’s clothes anyway. They aren’t naked. I don’t know if there are others. People say there are, but I’ve only ever met these. Anyway, you cannot understand them but they can understand you. And they can put thoughts into your head but they can’t hear your thoughts. You have to speak to them. They cannot hear very well, or else they are not good understanding English so you have to speak loudly and slowly. I don’t know if they understand other languages, but I’m pretty sure they would. They are interested in all of us, in everything that goes on. They like a lot of things about our culture, too. They like some of our music. Bluegrass is their favorite so far as I’ve seen. They like it a lot. They LOVE that african instrument that looks like a gourd with 13 strings. LOVE IT. But they cannot stand horns or horn music, so they hate classical music and jazz. I think trumpets sort of sound like their language? It’s a feeling that I get, but I’ve never been able to ask them.
They’ve taken me up just about every two years, I’d say, since 1987. Just about. Sometimes it’s more often, and I didn’t go up at all between 1995 and 2000. They usually keep me for what feels like a day, but it turns out to be about four hours. Usually. The longest I stayed with them was three weeks. During that time, they made me make phone calls and “keep up appearances”. They aren’t really bad…well, i was going to say “people”. But they’re not really bad people. Or whatever.
The two that I got sort of close with told me to call them Jack and Gina. I don’t know if they are male or female or even if they have different sexes. But I know that those aren’t their real names. Those are just names that they told me.
They will make contact with Earth on a wide scale in 2021. That’s the year when they’ll land here, or colonize, or whatever. I’m not exactly sure what their plan is. They don’t seem to be evil or dangerous. Their planet is, so they told me anyway, a very long way away. They couldn’t explain to me how far, they said, because it was too far for me to understand and it was also “close to the side”. I have no idea what that meant, but it’s always stuck with me. Home is “Too far away for you to understand, but also close to the side.” We don’t have anything that they want, so they told me. So I don’t really know why they come here or why they’ve taken so many of us up or why they’ve gotten to be friends with me. They do not have any religion and they don’t need oxygen or water or trees or anything, I don’t think. They don’t eat people. I don’t think they want to breed with us or genetically engineer us. I don’t know what they want. But they’ve been coming here for I’d guess at least 10 or 20,000 years. I’m not very good about history and “upper paleolithic” and all that. But they’ve got video of all sorts of stuff and they showed me video of neanderthals and Cro-Magnon (which really were JUST like us humans except they all had black skin, way less diversity) and all sorts of other human-like things, Us’s, or whatever. And they showed me video of the pyramids being built and this HUGE stone building that I guess is lost somewhere or was destroyed but it was in Europe, I could tell from the video. They have video of them talking with all sorts of people all throughout the history of Earth. They showed me some of them and asked me questions about them but I couldn’t understand any of it because I only speak English and even English from 200 or 300 years ago is so different that I could hardly understand it. So I told them that they probably knew more about it all than I did.
I was up three weeks ago. That was the last time. I’m pretty sure that I’ll go up again in a couple of years, but I’m not sure after that. The whole “program” or whatever they call it is going to change in July, 2021. I think they said 8th, but it could also have been 18th, I wasn’t hearing very well. They weren’t trying to intimidate me or even to warn me, so I don’t think we have anything to worry about. I hope they don’t show the videos they took of me when they first started taking me up, because I was so scared and young and they are embarrassing.
105. This is the craziest UFO phenomena true story, and it came from my Dad. 1960’s in Ethiopia, my Dad is just a child (9yrs. old) at the time playing with his best friend Gabriel after school. They were playing in the fenced backyard of my dad’s house. My dad turns his back for a second then turns to look back at his friend and Gabriel is gone… The backyard Gabriel disappeared from had 10 foot bricked walls with armed guards patrolling on the outside.
A couple of hours pass , his parents, my dad’s parents and guards are searching but no Gabriel. 48 hours pass, now their is a nation wide search for this important General’s kid, it’s on the News, police are searching door to door describing him and what he was wearing when he disappeared (he was wearing a his private school uniform, white shirt, brown pants). Helicopters even searched the country side looking for him, still nothing. A month passes, then 2 then 4, people start loosing hope that he would ever be found and think the worst.
EXACTLY 6 MONTHS to the Day he disappeared, Gabriel appears back in my dad’s backyard….. He was wearing the same white shirt private school uniform and it was still clean, he looked exactly the same as when he disappeared…. This is where it starts to get weird, once they confirmed his was okay they starting asking where he had been. He said couple of nice men took him on a trip, he was in a white room that glowed and other children were there from different countries, he said he was surprised that the nice men who looked like white guys could speak Ethiopian and he could understand what the other children were saying even though they were not Ethiopian.
The white glowing room had no windows and the doors disappeared into the walls, their were buttons on the walls and if a kid pushed them a bed would come out of the wall. He said he was then all of a sudden in a city, that was glowing, clean, and cars were flying around him. He said their was people there but they looked strange, like us but different. One nice man was still with him and took him to a tall building, where he said he had to stay there for a while, but showed him a room that he could use for entertainment. Gabriel said, he could push a button and the room itself goes places, an open field, the beach, the room itself even flies. He said after a couple of hours he was taken back to Ethiopia and appeared in the backyard, he thought he was only gone a couple hours total. No one believed him, and Ethiopia being a super religious country, most adults around him thought he got possessed by the devil, Gabriel even was forced to see a priest to get the evil spirits out of him. My dad still kept in contact with him throughout their lives, Gabriel got a doctorate in Physics and I believe works Holland still.
